19 - Roony Bardghji

I think people have unrealistic expectations. What I want is a serious worker, who doesn't act like a wannabe star and is professional in his conduct, and runs for the team. Roony gives this consistently for a low price point. Other players or cheap youngsters may come with a bit more flash, but would also be more likely to be liabilities, and have questionable work ethic.

Also, Roony is a fairly good passer.

Dude, this is Barca... "Serious worker" is far far from enough. Rashy, who most don't have an unrealistic expectation on, came in and changed the game. Roony has had 3 games from start now and been absolute shit, he's done nothing of value.

This bum wants to complain about minutes and puts up strinkers
He has no shame and is a shit influence to team thanks to his shit anime obsession

I thought he played better vs Osasuna than against Getafe, looked more comfortable & fluid occupying the same pockets as Lamine yet unable to create any danger

Some of it definitely looked like a player who simply hasn't had much match minutes, that lack of rhythm will affect your decisions & actions. Especially early you could see he was motivated and looked confident until say he dummied a great layoff from Pedri...to no one. That look of making the wrong decision and knowing it was him who failed to show his quality

I do think he is quality but he should play more elsewhere and again I think we should turn a nice profit from him

Exactly. Flick obviously values him as a "worker", otherwise he wouldn't have started before Rashford. But we all see, that Roony is very limited in his output. Barca's winger must have something more than just being a worker, even as a sub. I don't say the club needs to kick him out, but a loan to a team he plays regulary for and see from there.

Well, he did more than Rashford vs AM in CL. If Araujo could fucking head the ball in the net alone from 6m, we could still be in CL today. That was a great cross by Roony. What more do you want for such an economical signing? As said, some have unrealistic expectations.

The only dilemma is if we sell him now if there will be any offers or get him on loan and hope his value increases. Knowing it's almost impossible Deco sells somebody it's probably better to loan him and hope for the best if he impreses in a smaller side. I don't know why either him or the club would benefit with him staying.

Lol some of you still think he can be even backup winger at Barca is funny... what if we needed him against PSG, the fuck could he do??? Small, slow and weak - perfect winger lol.

I thoght he will do better in thus last few games.

As season is going on, we have 6 forwards, and we only know for Raph and Lamine that they will stay.

Flick does not trust him, Rashford is to expensive, Lewa still wamts big money, Ferret is almost without contract...

We could see a lot of changes.

I would rather risk with Senesi then getting Bastoni, and put all cards in attack.

If we are invensting big I would go with Diomande, he is generational talent, and I would think about striker next year, just keep Lewa for more year or get Budimir/Muriqi as backup.

Likes of him would still be swapping between B and A teams even 10 years ago. Current zeitgeist change is that if you're not a world beater at 20 - HARD SELL!!!1 And even in the past guys like Salah, De Bruyne and God know how many else just got chewed and gnawed on for not being instant game changers for clubs much lesser than Barca. It is what it is and can be even more understandable with current Barca that has abundance of way too young and just young players, while having no core at peak age, just couple of veterans or hasbeens like Kounde or Araujo. Dejong and Raph basically only ones at their peak age, maybe Cancelo, if stays.

Remember that peak Barcas of the past were much older and experience, when reached their top trophy success periods. This current one is buncha toddlers, gramps that piss his pants and retarded cousin with downs. The only couple of grownups are in hospital half a year.

Well he can't provide cover if Yamal is out can he? Loan him out than if you believe in him, I don't... he doesn't have the physical attributes to be a winger, not like he can learn how to be 30% faster, taller and stronger at the age of 20. Dude isn't and never will be a winger. If we didn't already have 2 CAM's maybe we could loan him out and try him there again - but shit, football has changed a lot last 10 or so years and I don't really see any deep-rooted talent here.

Well it can be true he needs time to develop, but we need someone who can step up first second when Yamal is out.

No one can provide for Yama. Every single one that we can afford would be three steps down of different flavour, but probably more expensive. Better just play on different strengths and formations, when he is out. We are not that pathetic without him, you know. Getting defense improved and having an actual goal scoring threat is top priority that should not be diluted by spending on another mediocrity that will provoke pitchforks out on here within half a year from signing. Better have this cheap squad player, who is willing to be apprentice and is till a joker, than throwing money around on bunch of mediocrities that will hardly make a dent, while stifling chances of getting someone that would immediately improve the whole squad.

Bruv, you are talking like we are swimming in cash. A decent LW will cost us close to 30m these days. You seriously want us to spend that much on a backup for Yamal?
Roony is good enough. This is his first season in a top league, with a top team, at 20 yrs old. His numbers are decent. Yes I would have liked if he played more, but this maybe a flick problem as he rotates very little or Yamal thing. Hoping the 2nd season is where he shows his potential.
And you are forgetting we have Raphinha too. He was injured for most of the season, hence you didnt see him at LW.
Getting a RW, who is almost a starter, will give us 2 players to be rotated with Yamal. We dont even need to think of a LW backup for now.
