When a player is young and overachieves, it's clearly impressive for he's doing what many others aren't. When a player is young and underachieves, it isn't an excuse as to why he should continue on playing for us. Either he's good enough or he isn't (regardless of age).

He's just not good enough as a backup on the RW. So his competition becomes any player who is good enough. 28 yo players of Rashford's level included.

And a player saying he feels he deserved more minutes isn't questioning the manager. He was asked the question and answered in the most honest and respectful way.

I take it back, sell while his fee doesn't plummet to 0 - maybe we could get 15ish million for him. We need somebody better to cover RW, maybe Silva could do the job for 2 seasons + we get another promising youngster and/or see what Masia cooks up...
 
Should just let him go on loan. In La Liga preferably.

Those minutes Lamine is out injured just play Rapha there or some of those talented left footed kids from Barca Atletic.
 
This needs to be considered very well. Not gonna be easy to find a back-up because everybody knows he is gonna be the back-up to Lamine Yamal.

Like back when there were MSN and every player knew they gonna play very little.
 
Not sure is it the fact that he is completely out of form or he simply lacks the quality needed. Very underwhelming two games from him.
 
He's simply not good enough, even as a sub. Need to loan him out to a team on his level, hope he does good there, so the club can sell him in summer 27 with a profit.

Nah he made like 1 good dribble in all the minutes he's played for us, the elastico - nothing more. We bought for 2M, sell for 10 and forget.
 
He’s still only 20, confidence is still lacking. A loan at a decent club where he can be a regular starter would do him wonders. Maybe Girona
 
He's good enough. I'd keep him and play him more next season. He's a hard worker and a good passer. Sure, he ain't gonna make a difference like the top class players, but he also doesn't drag the team down. This has never happened when he played.

Good enough for what? To have a reliable player in league games first and foremost he has to work hard, be serious, and don't fuck up. We will always have better players on that will bear the pressure of deciding games.

I much prefer Roony to Ansu Fati for example.

Fati is a VERY low bar as of late. I'm rewatching the Getafe game right now, Roony fuck up after fuck up. The fuck you guys on about?
