It should be pretty close to the real figure. What did you think a Ballon D'Or winner, captain and most important player of Euros and WC wins, captain of City and the best midfielder in the world will demand as a salary in his last big contract. Quality costs.
I don't know if he reaches 30m gross, but obviously he won't be that far off. I just hope the fixed figures are lower and bonuses higher. Otherwise long-term injuries could be really bad for the club. But let us not expect the worst.

Turns out when was told Rodri would prefer Barca to Real it was correct.
Would be worth Barca to pay 50m over 4 seasons just to keep him away from Real. Let alone having him in Barca squad.

I quite like this guy. He's Cryuffian in his footballing IQ, so he holds a standard with me.
I agree with his assesment.
Yea, great player and glad to have him, but you don't give a 30-year-old that salary.
I think the much bigger question should be- why the fuck is Kounde on 20mil. Like what dimension are we living in that his salary should be anywhere remotely close to that.

He's 30 mate, not 40. We're talking about the best midfielder in the world when fit.
If being named best player at the world cup doesn't command a big wage nothing does.

Madrid is paying Bernando about 10m net, which is around 20m gross.
Paying Konate 12m net, around 22-24 gross
The same Madrid came for Rodri, who is better than Bernando Silva, so they most likely would've offered more, and Barca came for Rodri so his offer would most likely be above 10m and around 12-16m.
That's how negotiation works, if you're in demand, u can negotiate better
It does command a big wage. Not 30mil big though. You know this. I'm not sure why you're arguing.

Contract negotiation is a matter of supply and demand. He had Madrid and Barca after him, so it's easy to see why his wage is that high. Would've gotten similar if he chose Madrid too.
