A desperate Real Madrid in search for a CDM might load up the brinks truck for him next summer.
And Rodri might feel like we fucked around with him and go elsewhere because of that.
Not saying it would happen, but we're in control of the situation right now. Next summer it could change so just close the signing ASAP.

I don't know man......Casado is still at the club. Roony is still here and now he's going to stay here because he got injured in August.
Both these outgoing moves should have happened earlier. It obviously depends on the players and the offers they get too, but this club just seem to be moving extremely slowly with everything.
We're all here talking about Alvarez and Rodri but no one knows what is going on with Cancelo for example.

Roony sabotaged his own move and Barca want more money on Casado, unrealistic above his real value from Saudi.
The real deal is sell Ferran and invest that money in Rodri.
There's no Alvarez coming, beyond budget. Fans should adjust to a Raphinha/Gordon/Adeyemi/Lamine front this season.

That's what I see in the stars... and we'll end up without any new defenders and last minute bs 9 signing. Just when I thought Deco et al could actually do a decent job after the signings of Gordon and Adeyami.
Fuck! We not only have no 9 and a thin backline - now we even have a thin midfield. We're not getting close to a CL at least for another 2 seasons + a new sporting director who doesn't take most of his vacation during the summer transfer window - fucking donkey!

If we end up with "only" Rodri and cheap decent 9 I'll be happy enough - but City are starting to get on my nerves. He's on his last year of contract, he's 30 years old and just came back from a long injury. Dude gave his everything for City, just let him go for a decent price which shouldn't be remotely close to 80m...

Signing Rodri is the key. And Ferran's transfer to PSG is crucial.
We'll end up with this Raphinha - Gordon - Lamine attack in the end. Lots of people losing their mind in the process.

Rodri is indeed the key, he will improve our defense and midfield by so much...
BUT, we still need at least one "natural" 9 - just surprise us with somebody cheap under the radar who'll do better than Ferran. Gordon can rotate and play both LW and 9.

But he was properly equiped for last season. Likely will be for next too
The 24/25 season is pretty much a miracle on his part. Because he had only Yamal and Raphinha as wingers, washed Lewa who he somehow made score 40 goals, Ferran who was even worse back then.. FDJ was injured for first half of the season and he had to pull guys from academy. GKs were Szczesny and Peña. Yet somehow the team got very close to a quadruple.
