Alvarez is a trap. If we get him we go back on the project. What has he done except score less goals than Ferran Torres. Rather we wait another year and try for a real 9 not a SS type that will fail as central 9 with 0 presence and aerial ability.

I thought Fermin was great on the night, as expected. Unlucky not to break free or get the whistle on 1 or 2 occasions vs TAA, his ball to Olmo is as important as that wonder assist for Ferran

There's a good chance Lamine is out of the entire group stage too. Which means he will be rusty in the KOs.

That's very bitter for him, he'll miss the WC now. Even if he gets fit somehow for the knock-out stages, by then Spain will have their starting lineup you don't change in a tournament. Pretty sure Fuente will call another player in his stead.

A bit of an overstatement. Fermin wasn't that important yet for de la Fuente.

In general.

Both Nico and Lamine will arrive rusty just returning from an injury. Rodri just returned from a groin injury that's been bothering him for a while. Merino been out with a fractured foot for months.

Already lost subs they had in guys like Samu.
 
Zubimendi has been pish for Arsenal for a while now and fans unhappy with him also.

Not sure Fermin would play all that much for Spain if fit anyway this summer even with the injuries they have.

Fermin is certainly becoming one, especially after the wheelchair season Nico is having.

The World Cup experience is out of the window, really sad situation.
 
Doubt Fermin would have been on wing for Spain.

They would play Ferran or Oyarzabal there before him and a few others most likely.

While true, not many Spanish forwards are in form and Fermin is and he also is a goalscoring threat. But Spain will manage, they will pass the ball into goal with all the top notch midfielders they have :lol:
