14 - Karim Adeyemi

Even with the misses, when he plays, his presence is felt instantly. I quite like him, will be a very very good transfer for the money, one of the best deals we could have made for 20-25m.

If he played in EPL, Tottenham or Chelsea would have signed him for 75m pounds.
 
Gordon is better than Adeyemi and it isn't close.

Adeyemi's qualities are narrow. Gordon can be useful in pretty much any type of game or situation.

Adeyemi is the sub to cause chaos against tired defenses, and he will give a great contribution in this role where his qualities can be best highlighted.
 
He creates danged pretty much each time he runs towards the box with the ball at his feet, like him quite a lot thusfar.

EPL has likes of Rogers going for 116m. It's a different world out there.

I have seen Adeyemi before at Salzburg and also Dortmund. He is not consistent in final actions, passing and movement.

If he played as a starter, he would not score as many goals as you think. He is much better utilised against tired legs where his acceleration can push him into dangerous positions and when the game state starts to break down.

He will be a great super sub for us.

He played under lots of negative managers at Dortmund who employed a back 5.

Adeyemi's true level will be evident at Barca.

In the same vein Lucho dropped Barcola because he can't finish for toffee.

You can't have a front 3 where your most reliable finisher is Raphinha.

Adeyimi is a better finisher than Gordon by a distance and should hence start, preferably through the middle.

You can't rely on your attacking midfielder to pick up the slack of your goal shy wingers every game.

This is a good point, but that is why we need a striker.

As you have mentioned, the team needs someone to put the ball in. We create enough...

A top striker with this attack and system is scoring 30+ goals minimum.

PSG doesn't agree.
 
Adeyemi and Gordon are different types of wingers. They are both very fast, but the similarities end there.

Gordon's technique is clean and consistent, he's a very associative and reliable player in possession with great vision. He's like Grealish if Grealish were rapid and actually good.

Adeyemi is scary 1v1 and creates lots of chaos and danger in the final third in a messy fashion, with dribbles that might seem lucky, flicks, ricochets, etc. He's like the Darwin Nunez of wingers. Both will have plenty of uses.
 
We probably don't look at a 9 because to be more productive than Raphinha in terms of end product even at 9 you have to be Mbappe or Kane. And when you add the workrate part...

Raphinha at 9 should not work, but with Gordon, with Espart instead of Balde, with Rodri... the passing ability of the team goes up a lot. He might get plenty of service, he might like it, who knows.

Dembele at 9 should not work either on paper. It depends on what the plan is.
 
Gordon is obviously ahead of Adeyemi and a lot more reliable on the ball. Adeyemi will be useful however.
 
All you had to do was listen to the ovation Gordon got upon coming off much less cules singing his name. No question Gordon will become a fan favorite and beauty of Adeyemi is we don't have to prefer or the other since we have both
