13 - Joan Garcia

Keeping Scezny as back up is a big risk.

He has issues moving his feet and getting down at end of last season and this when came in.

Did well against Real but the games against Sevilla and Brugge he looked his age.

His distribution is biggest problem imo

He did well vs Real indeed with shot stopping but most long balls he fucked up

Against PSG it especially came to effect, and they made use of it. It's one of the reasons why they dominated possesion all game

Slightest pressure and he hoofs it away

As much as people don't want to admit it DOES matter in modern football, it matters very much. And unless you are world class at shot stopping people will look you down for it

One of the best signings ever made in the history of this club

Thank you for this season
One last W vs Madrid and we are done

Yeah, he doesn't look like a footballer anymore. Probably that's why Flick didn't even play him in Copa.

We should just keep Pena as a second keeper, he still has contract with us and he's ok for a season. If Remiro wants to warm the bench here he can come in 2027 for free. We have multiple goalkeepers on our payroll, it would be retarded to spend any money on new goalkeepers in our situation. I would even keep MATS as second goalkeeper even if I don't want to see his face anymore, we pay him anyway.

David Soria for experience. He is having a good season and always liked him.

For potential and to stick it to Madrid get Fran Gonzalez. He's a big boy and decent whenever I seen him internationally at youth level.

I would have gunned for Yakoob, but he lost his spot at Andorra so would be best loaned another year. Pena to be let go given he couldn't hold it down at Elx imo.

I don't know if a Castilla kid would come to us.

He is decent, and has the height. But I dont think in a million years we would even look at him or he would come here.

Yeah you are probably right, and it wouldn't give the best message to our kids too.

He joined in 2022 from Leonesa though, so while probably being a Madrid fan (though that never deterred Sergio Ramos from becoming a Madrid legend) I guess he might consider us if we had a first team + Copa proposal. I don't know if he is good enough yet, but I believe Madrid have nerfed him because of his lack of renewing.

He's been absolutely brilliant in La Liga this season but that makes his underperformance in UCL look weirder. Maybe a nerves issue for him (first ever Champions League campaign)?

You guys think he'll be able to shake it off and replicate his Liga performances in the UCL next season and onwards? I'd hate for our starting #1 to be another mental midget, after all this time.

I don't think he underperformed in UCL. We didn't lose games because he let in couple of easy goals every game. Sure he couldn't be someone who stole games for us either.

Overall good season for him, 8.5/10.

Eye test wise he did underperform. Statistics say the same if you look at the difference between his PSxG - GA in the UCL vs in La Liga
