He's been elite in LL. But if we are to be honest, his CL debut campaign has been underwhelming. 13 goals conceded in 8 games. I know its not all his fault but I dont remember any memorable match winning save/performances in CL (yet). Some of his attempts at saving close range shots and then falling in to the net was very MatS-like (thanks to the bald fraud I guess). Also, a WC keeper does better on Sorloth goal. If his CL form continues next season, serious questions will need to be asked. A team striving to win the CL should be expecting better from their starting keeper.

He may still turn out to be the hero at Metropolitano but I'm not holding my breath.
 
If he is showing such a good level in La Liga there is no real reason he shouldn't transfer it to CL at some point

People will say Ter Stegen but
1) This guy is not a mental midget. He dropped THAT performance on packed Espanyol stadium weeks after leaving them and with whole stadium insulting and booing him all the time
2) He is much better than Ter Stegen. Even in La Liga. Ter Stegen had good moments but he also had plenty howlers and cost us games in the league too.

It is his first season, so maybe he needs some time. That being said, on Metropolitano we need his best version. I hope he doesn't disappoint. I feel if we don't concede we are almost certainly going through
 
He's really good. Just the little things you notice, the class, that tells you he is a top keeper.

His awareness is great, he is always on top of everything, and he's always composed.

A number of long balls which he cleared some way away from our goal would have resulted in big chances.

Wouldn't be surprised if there is interest in him, for big money offers.
 
No one will make offers really as there is zero chance Barca would sell.

He is better than every EPL keeper and with his height what they would want for the way teams are slinging balls into box.

Would get huge offers if available but teams know he isnt.

But I heard someone say it and I kind of agree, he didn't really come up big for us in the CL this season
 
Hes saved us more than he has messed up.
Main reason he lets goals in is becouse our defence is so poor hes often left alone and strikers get free shots 1m from goal.
 
Gave us hope with that save,
Unfortunately the bums couldn't create a single chance in the second half,
Minus few players
 
Kind of crazy with our defensive structure we have the least amount of goals scored against in the league at the moment.

Barca have three players that get in any team in the world.. Pedri, Frenkie and Yamal.

Joan not a millions miles off that. Neither is Cubarsi.

There are more talented wingers but his off the ball efforts are just too much to have him on bench. Every manager dreams of having a press machine like that.

Even in a team like PSG he would probably start most games, if not on LW then RW or maybe even CF.
 
Yeah Raphinha is one of Barcas best just not sure if likes of Real/Bayern/PSG would take him as starter as huge emphasis on 1v1 in most teams.

While they have better CFs and dont need that runner/second striker role.

His pressing is over played for how important is. Barca concede a ton with him int the team also and can leave Barca out of shape at times also.

How much did that pressing bring Leeds/Brazil or Barca before Flick?
 
Luis is definitely dropping one of his CL & European Championship winning starting Midfielders, in his highly dynamic Midfield where everyone excells in all phases of the game for Frenkie 😕. He's probably not even dropping one for Pedri. But Pedri is Pedri so he'll find away.

Raphinha didn't start for them either tbf.
