12 - Xavi Espart

Since others are settling old bets, I would like the record to state that I said on the old forum this guy has the best chance of reaching 1st team out of current contenders

The confidence in his first home game as a first team player was very impressive. Most just try not to make mistakes, but he did everything on the pitch. Forward runs, duels, vertical passing, even one shot on goal. We have another gem coming from La-Masia for free. His passing is also much better than Balde's. He used the pre-season and is clearly in front of him now.
 
Seems to be a new Flick favorite. Plays every minute just changes positions.

Very happy with and for him.

It’s a splash of a 1st team starting debut - says a lot about his mentality and why a Flick favorite. Always liked him in Masia but I didn’t see this for him, very happy for him and the team. Going to be an x-factor this season
 
He's very polished for his inexperience and also a surprisingly good athlete. He will consolidate in the first team given the number of positions he can play.

Faster than he looks and has a great jump on him. Also quite mobile.

These kinds of versatile players who can fill in at many different positions usually succeed from Masia. Every squad needs players like this, and even better if they are from the academy.
 
Just send Balde on loan - can't remember when I've seen better first team debut games tbh.

Balde is head down running while only using his left foot - than cutting in and passing it back or running some more and sending a cross into the stands... and do it all over again and again and again - offers NOTHING.
 
Not sure Pesquer will play much with the emergence of Espart at LB with Cancelo but I clear this is going to be our 1-2 at LB
 
IF we buy Lukabe, Balde 110% must go on loan - he won't get ANY minutes ahead of Cancelo/Espart/Lukabe.
