Makes it hell of a lot easier if you have guy who can head the ball and play with his back to the goal though.
 
That explosive run for Pedri's pass left the defender in the dust. This is what he can do. He ain't gonna play like a pivot, but he is very hard to block when he attacks the channels like that.

It will be more difficult for him when opponents will drop lower, so he ain't gonna have any space to run into. So, basically teams like AM, Arsenal and 1-2 others.
 
I don’t know about you guys but to me he looks pretty good as a #9. Helps when you can actually prepare for the role and not just be emergency fill in for the position.
 
So far he does more or less what one could have hoped from Alvarez.

And with Gordoyemi filling the left flank, it could work out pretty well.
 
He seems much more comfortable at dribbling and creating chances. Looks like a more complete player than before.
He gets on ball earlier in deeper positions and has good production.
 
I am just fine with Rafa as No.9 instead of byuing anyone who would disrupt the mojo the team seems to be building
 
It's the listen to jamrock effect, I've been telling flick raphinha can play 9 for 2 seasons now.

I basically never miss.

He finally listens and now he's a "Genius".

That's being said get Julian or a lewa type striker off the bench.
 
What's the difference between Julian Alvarez and João Pedro though?

Both clubs told us they didn't want to sell.
