I agree. He isn’t close to Mbappe output wise. The later is a generational talent who will go on to become one of the goats. However, I do understand where Vini’s jealousy comes from. With Benzema’s departure, RM was sure certain to become Vini’s team..specially after having contributed immensely in their last two CL wins. Now, it is geared towards Mbappe.

Can't see him playing well under Carlo. He isn't a winger to whom you just throw the ball and he'll do the rest by himself like Vini, prime CR7, Bale etc. You need to create a system in which Rapha shines and Carlo isn't doing that.

I don't think Carlo expects Raphinha to do that. He's not an idiot

Rapha had several chances to score. On another day he buries them. If he did we would be talking entirely different story

He just had a shit game. He will come good for Brazil eventually this WC

I didn't say he did, I just said he won't adapt the system to Raphinha and without that Raphinha is half the player he is at Barca. They won't go far either way. They'll come through the useless group stage as everybody else and get knocked out by the first semi serious team.

Agreed. Vini is the only WC player they have currently. Gabriel possibly below that just a tad bit. Massive fall from great teams of the past.

Before Mbappé arrived, he pressed and worked off the ball better than he does now, BUT HE NEVER PRESSED OR WORKED OFF THE BALL BETTER THAN RAPHINHA.NEVER. THAT'S ABSOLUTE NONSENSE.

Never did I imply that. Never. But his pressing was good enough for someone who could win you games out of nothing. That is what needed in wingers for the club of our stature. WC player with good enough pressing. It would be great if we get young Luis Diaz or Mane. Elite on and off the ball but they are extremely rare breeds. Vini otoh gives you a true match winner who could also press relentlessly even if not at their level

Vinni has never played in a team that plays systematic, dominant football built on pressing and possession.

I don't want Barcelona to play the same crap as Real Madrid under Ancelotti, even if we win the Champions League every year.

He needs to play as a 10 with Vini Jr and probably Endrick on either side. He plays his best football in those central areas so it makes sense to have him there. Would go with Cunha up front instead of Thiago.

He doesn’t have any level of technicality and skills to play as Brazil’s 10. Period.

You are kidding yourself if you think Vini can’t play in a high pressing possession team like ours when one season wonders like Raph over performed, where Ferran freaking Torres is scoring goals left and right and where we brought Gordon to play 💀Vini is on another level technically and skillwise compared to them and have lungs and stamina to play.
Its like saying I wouldn’t take Ronaldo and Bale in place of Villa and Pedro because they won’t be able to play high pressing possession team. The laters are super athletes while being technically far more superior. We fans need to have our head checked.
Also, if winning champions league every year means playing like Carlo’s Real, I don’t think many fans would mind that. Yes, it would be beyond delightful if we could play like 10-11 forever but be realistic. That is once in a 30-40 years kind of team. The club of our stature should have winning CL as the top most priority. Every year. We aren’t Arsene’s Arsenal.
 
I have no problem if he leaves because he wants it. Just pay 100m and that's that. Wouldn't be the first time Sport publishes bullshit regarding Raphinha though.

Makes little sense to leave now. Arabia will always be there 2-3 years from now for him.
 
I will lose every form of respect for him if he decides to go to Al hilal, he wil become a traitor like Figo. If he is clever he stays at barca, he will probably start over Gordon anyway
 
Would be diabolical to go with zero depth and effectively replace Raphi with Balon d'Gor.

We been linked with Maza but I think it plays more centrally.
 
What I feared since the Gordon transfer. Gordon probably isn't a Rashford replacement but Raphinha's. Hope not but it seems like that from the start.
 
Are we planning to sell Raphinha to fund the Alvarez transfer , making our front three be Gordon - Alvarez - Yamal , next season ? GAY ?
