He said he likes playing football more than running.
If Flick had punished him due to behaviour from group training, I'm sure there would alredy be a big drama.

Not a big deal, players of the profile of Yamal are not the hardest workers and biggest runners anyway. Lamine will never be outstanding in terms of workrate and intensity like Raphinha is. With him, we should aim to get just enough effort and workrate so that off the ball he is not a constant liability, that's the approach.

Nobody expects Lamine to be a super technical Raphinha. This is not possible. Raphinha will nearly always beat him on workrate, intensity, end product, and defensive coverage. Lamine clears him in dribbling and overall creativity. This is why both are essential.
 
Should sit this Valencia out anyway.
If it's a genuine knock (from a trip to Paris maybe) or a "knock" as in "I don't feel like running so I'll kick it in the gym" like Ronaldinho 20 years back.
