10 - Lamine Yamal

It is what it is. Thankfully Madrid is so weak this season, that it shouldn't matter. We need 10 points in the last 6 games, if Madrid wins everything (which I doubt is going to happen anyways). But the clasico will be much thougher now. Hopefully Rapha returns for a few games at least. A good opportunity for the players to show they can win without Lamine.
Yeah, Madrid look dreadful right now, but if we lose next two games we're in for a stressful clasico. Provided if Madrid win their next two games, of course.

Not for nothing, this is why I've been saying since last season flick doesn't utilize the squad in a efficient way & hoped he would make adjustments this season.

But nope, so now he's gonna have to throw players in the XI that he either ignored or under utilized.

League should be secured though.

True. Even if we lose once before the clasico, that'll give Madrid motivation to win the direct duel and then it's only 3 points with LaLiga refs being capable for robberies.
The next two away games in Getafe and Osasuna will be crucial, if we have an easy or nerve wracking season finish..

At the end of the day it's easy to blame Flick, but without Yamal we wouldn't have won much over the past two seasons. Flick would probably have Xavi's trophy cabinet, but with more goals scored.
The thin(on quantity and quality) bench has caught up with us at the end of the season.

Also winning that Espanol game is now looking more vital that ever.

We have a long rest, so tiredness from that game is a non factor in his injury. But the 3 points is looking very important now

If we had eliminated Atletico, he wouldn't have gotten injured.
If you are saying that he would have been rested yesterday I highly doubt it. But we would never know.

Now it is time however for the players up front that are almost on the choping block to try and impress without Lamine and Raphinha... hopefully for us without being pressured that much by Madrid...

Roony is a bum, Trashford is thinking of WC and his Man Utd return, Lewandowski is looking for houses in Miami or Milan.
All hopes on Ferran it is

Same story as last year, when lots of brave hearts were thinking we might have beaten PSG in the final if we got there. Disregarding the fact we shipped 7 from Inter.
Nope, it's Arsenal. You know the club that didn't win anything for 20 years and nothing in Europe ever. We are supposed to be afraid of that?

We got eliminated by similar calibre teams for the past two seasons and concede against any side out there.
But I guess it was all for the best, getting massacred in a final doesn't bring you any glory.

Meh, over the past two seasons we are only behind likes of PSG and Bayern. If you look at City's doings in CL, with all their money and Pep, they managed to be beaten twice by Madrid while losing all 4 games, 2 home and 2 away.

You have to be elite to be CL winning material. And we aren't yet. No shame in that.

This year we beat Real in Arabia Cup final(not by much, could have went either way) and Atletico in LL. Nothing that we showed vs big teams screams of being clearly better and just behind PSG/Bayern. Luckily avoiding the hard part of the table for two years straight doesn't make us better than those teams.

We'll win LL, but we sure have to make some selling and buying this summer.

His last game before this one was 8 days ago.

Before that, he played Espanyol, Atletico 2x, Egypt and Serbia with Spain for 60 and 40 minutes each, Rayo (narrow 1-0 win), Newcastle.

I don't see where he could have been rested recently except for Spain where Barca has no say and against Espanyol maybe but he assisted the first 2 goals and scored the 3rd with Raphinha already injured. I don't think starting him on the bench then rushing him on the pitch when things go not as planned so he exerts himself even more is a better solution.

Did he get injured now because he played some Copa games a few months ago? Meh. Pointless discussion.
