It's hard to deny that Mbappe is the world's best or, if you prefer, most skilled player. This was evident before the World Cup despite the poor club form and team cohesion.
True. I'll explain this in detail without bias. So let me land before jumping to conclusions and calling me a "troll".
Is Mbappe the most skillful and naturally gifted player in the world? Not necessarily but we all agree that he's very gifted and skillful.
Is Mbappe the fastest player in the world with and without the ball? Probably.
Now here's the thing: Mbappe might not be the most talented player ever but his skillset and attributes are far more useful in deciding games than many players who are considered more gifted, skillful and elegant.
When you take Mbappe's skill and end product and combine it with his explosive pace, incredible acceleration over the first few steps, strength and power he becomes nearly unstoppable on his day. That rare combination of physical, technical and mental attributes makes Mbappe scary. You can't kick him out of a game or outmuscle/foul him out of a game. If Mbappe is on fire, you probably can't stop him.
On a higher level, Messi (technique plus acceleration and durability) and Ronaldo (ball striking plus pace and movement) married technical, physical and mental attributes at the highest level which made them unplayable in their pomp.
I'll give another example at a lower level:
Over a full season Pedri gives you better/more consistent performances than Pogba week in week out but in a one off game/final when Pogba is on form - he's far more unstoppable because of his physical gifts, ball striking ability and passing range.
There are players who have a better relationship with the ball than Mbappe but aren't nearly as scary or unstoppable in a real game. Try to understand the difference.
