10 - Lamine Yamal

Agreed he needed help all day to mark a not fully fit yamal and pulled a hammy as well.

That's how goated yamal is.

Mendes is still a beast though

He is much more complete player this year than last year when he got to fly under a radar for a while from opponents and Raphinha and Lewa were killing it also from his every pass.

He has just had a broken season with all these injuries and him having to be the main catalyst in offence at 18 after Raphinha and Lewa regressed big time. And now he is expected to do that for Spain after having difficult preparation for the tournament. Talk about having unnecessary big expectations for the lad who is still few years away from his prime years, both physically and mentally.

At one point he looked like flying, but he fizzled out. For me this is a worse season than the previous one quite clearly. His performances in big games have been lacking almost all season, with some exceptions here and there.

So... we need to put the Yamal best in the world story on pause for now.

Should be a bit of a reality check. Arrived at the biggest competition in the world tired and injured because he wanted to play in Copa games vs 3rd league teams among others. Maybe he learns something out of it.

His dribbling seems to lose efficiency when he has to go up against the better defenders. If you lack the elite quality to dribble your man consistently, at least don't be a ball hog. And ffs work on shooting, 1 tap in vs some bum side is terrible return for a supposed elite attacker.

He just needs to play without any chip on his shoulder, without having to prove HE has arrived or he is the superstar. Let everything in his game be organic. Be driibbles, passes and shooting and choose the moments for each of them wisely, like how he is supposed to if it is a small-stake game. He is a playmaker with elite dribbling and he is kinda forcing himself to be a game-changing goal-scoring forward just because he sees Mbappes, Halands and Messis taking the limelight at the WC. Its too soon in his mental and experience arc to go for that change imo.

Yamal: “I never put pressure on myself. There are people who have suffered more. My mother had me when she was 16, now that’s real pressure. Then my father had to go out and make a living, picking things up off the street to bring food home. All I have to do is play and make the Spain fans happy.”

Arrogant and immature kid.

  150% Yamal never used this phrasing.

Baljeet is up to his usual antics of stinking up threads with drivel.

Fredo coping for no reason and trying to pass off official Fabrizio Romano quotes as "trolling" few hours after dropping this gem?

Nice try calling me a troll when I speak just facts.

Grow up.

He's cutting inside too often looking for glory, even when the outside and a cross or cut back is the clear best play
