10 - Lamine Yamal

We are most reliant on Raphinha. Yamal is 2nd. The pressing goes down without Raphinha, the defensive coverage goes down, clutch goals go missing, everything is worse in every phase.

You lose the off the ball movement and passing outlet too.

Lamine can dribble and open things, but he himself relies too much on passing as he isn't a finisher in tight spaces yet, so having someone who is open and understands where to be is essential for Lamine's success. Otherwise Lamine would be far less effective.

let down by teammates.

Lamine has more passing precision and ball ball control with 90 min of football in feet than ones that got subbed and are receiving the ball only to lose it in dumb fashion.

Raphinha also makes goals or chances happen that don't involve Lamine much. Without Raphinha, all has to go through Lamine. Unfortunately, we just don't have players who can replace what Raphinha brings to the team. No one gets even close.

With Raphinha, Lamine only has to do a feint and a release like vs Newcastle even from deep, and the action will be taken over by Raphinha.

I think I can understand why he is so frustrated and acting out. In the right team, with the right players next to him, Lamine is ready to win the CL. He should be helped like Doue is being helped by a star-studded PSG squad.

I think he knows this, and I think it's hard to swallow for a kid that his enthusiasm and his quality aren't enough.

Just remember Rivaldo. He was one of the best players of his generation, and never even got close to a CL final. Football is like that. It's a pity that institutionally we can't provide more for a select group of 3-4 players in this side that deserve better in CL.

If i'm Yamal i'm finding a way to get a number 9 and a offensive RB or i'm thinking of moving on.

You cannot just have Kounde and either an old or useless 9 wasting the plays before you say the financial situation is hopeless.

Well, some team drops in a huge offer, and if he doesn't want to stay nobody is gonna keep him by force. That's the situation, we're not gonna get 300m on short term to sign the 4-5 players we need. That's just the way it is.

I'm sure PSG will be and probably won't be very long either

Then go to PSG to play 5-6 meaningful games a year. CL or bust every season since nobody gives a shite about that little pond they swim in there in the French farmland. Where the 2nd biggest club in the league can't even finish ahead of Qarabag in the Champions League.

The season of PSG just started and will last 1 or 2 months.

How many meaningful games do you think we play honestly?

Kids these days want instant gratification it will be another sad day if this happens

Cmon bro. You know that isn't true. Indonesia even like PSG in any way but we play maximum 20 games that are interesting especially with this sloppy called La Liga the last 5 years

If La Liga is sloppy then Ligue 1 isn't even a competition. They actually have the league postponing PSG matches these days and making the calendar around PSG's interests. It's beyond a joke.

PSG are hot atm because they are very competitive in CL, but this isn't gonna last long. Still, very little for a full season to just play 5-6 games and in the rest just go through the motions.

I do not think it benefits players much going to PSG in the long run.

He tried his best but it's such a shame for a club like Barca to rely only on a 18 years old teenager to do all the heavy lifting in attack in a crucial and difficult KO tie in CL.

Rewatching the game, around 6 minutes he beats his man then makes a run towards the box.

Olmo makes the undercutting run. Instead of doing a reverse pass to olmo he tried to pass to rashford and it leads to a easy interception.

If he passed to olmo we would have almost certainly scored, because olmo then had a easy cross to lewa.

-5 points for that bad decision, could have changed the entire game.
