Must be nice for Lucho to be in that position where he can sub out a ballon dor winner in UCL semis at 66 minutes and still dominate. Imagine trying that shit here 10 years ago with people like Messi.

Lucho had the balls to bench prime Messi and Neymar in an important away LL match at Anoeta. Flick doesn't have the balls to bench an 18 year old kid in Copa against lower division team.

I like Flick but it's a mistake to let an 18 year old kid run the club, not even Messi had that status until he was much older with multiple big titles, GOAT status and golden balls under his name. He's not doing any favors to Yamal with this either.

That lower club kicked out RM and we only narrowly won 2-1 against them. With a Yamal goal. If we lose or it goes to ET without Yamal, people will moan again "why put so many bench players together with no chemistry, at least put one or two starters in".

Yamal also didn't seem to be overplayed, he actually peaked again in April and was easily MOTM against Atletico 2nd leg, scoring, dribbling for fun and pinpoint putting a free header on Fermin's head.

So I don't understand why we dwell on this "issue". I would understand if we had easily beaten Albacete 4-0 or if Yamal didn't perform in the CL quarters. Neither happened so there is no issue.

Messi didn't have that status in his younger years because he was surrounded by veterans like Deco, Dinho, Eto'o, Henry, Xavi and other big upcoming youngstars like Iniesta, so we didn't rely on him to win games. This current squad relies on Yamal to beat a very motivated Albacete away from home. Really not his fault that the squad is thin.
 
1. Yamal is extremly overplayed from the start of his career which is not good for his body anway. We have a good enough team to beat lower division teams without him, give the others at least some credit.
2. You don't know how well he would play if he would rest sometimes. He's great now, maybe he would be good enough to lead us to CL finals if he was rested enough?
3. This kind of treatment inflates his ego and undermines the managers authority which could be a very big problem long term. Look at what happened with Mbappe because PSG bowed to him from his teenage years.
 
Nah, I don't think we win on Albacete's turf in a 1 off knockout game with Roony on the right and other bench players mixed in. But we'll have to just disagree on this, I can't prove woulda shoulda. If their forward passed the ball twice infront of the empty net we would have lost even with Yamal.

I agree partly on the ego argument but I also don't see any indication that Flick wants to bench him but is scared to do so. He simply delivers all the time or is needed to win.

We will most likely see how limp we are in the next Clasico without him, even against a disjointed RM who have already given up. Roony and Trashford on the wings with whatever version of Tuna/Surströmming will show up is a massive disaster waiting to happen.

But after we buy the players need to improve the defense, which Everyone says is the reason we can't compete with PSG. (That's really one a small part of it).

If we do that and flick doesn't Win a CL with yamal in the squad, we get beaten again by a inter Milan who lost basically every difficult game they had the season they dumbed us out the CL or an atletico type team who we are 20 points ahead of in the league.

His time here as it strictly relates to utilizing yamal would have been a failure. Because how good yamal is right now has very little to do with flick's management and tactics, this isn't a pep Messi situation or Enrique dembele situation, where the talent was obvious but it needed someone to mold it and take it to another level.

As it relates to Just being a Barca coach he would have been a great job, but using yamal to is best ability he needs to make a final and win. Yamal almost did a carry job last year vs inter. He needs the coach and team to do their jobs.
 
Most times you can instantly know things not to watch on tube by thumbnails alone. It always shows the range of IQ it is being targeted to. Although few quality tubers do retarded thumbnails due to engagement reasons too, that's what you have when have to work with jewish algorithms.
