10 - Lamine Yamal

He deserves more recognition. lesser players with lesser numbers but with more experience have been put on higher pedestals

I'm a stat guy by nature - love numbers and they are always a narrowed down perspective of a more cohesive 'meta' truth, but I took a few minutes yesterday to compare his minutes per goal contributions at age 19 compared to that of Ronaldo and Messi at age 19. It is not even a contest and his numbers for this season (albeit very early) blows theirs out of the water with the exception of their monster years (Messi at age 22-26 and Ronaldo at 24-28 respectively)

He is an absolute monster in every aspect of the game, and the fact that we can see he has room for improvement (finishing and being more clinical taking his chances) is just ridiculous.

Who are those lesser players? He got lots of hype and then some.
Reevenge namedropped a player.

But likes of dybala, foden, nico williams at the euros LOL

Musiala. Not even allowed to tie lamines boots.

Names top of head. Could name more.

Tf you're talking about? Those guys never had that level of hype.
What are u talking about. Lamine barely has hype.

Only hear moan about his “behaviour” instead of focusing on his performance.

Eyes during world cup
were more on french english and braziliannplayers.
Also Haaland.

When asked about the double tonight, if it's another argument for his Ballon D'or claim, he said Yes.

Voters could be swayed by this NT games + Clasico and Barca vs PSG in CL.

Even with Leo, it goes far beyond stats - players like Messi & Yamal provoke something in football fans that few can and yet they do it so often

19 people, I still can't process his debut at 15 much less the Euro performance at 16, WC at 18

Noone told him to shut his mouth. Saying he plays for Balon and himself. No mentiion of country he's representing there or his teammates.

And then he punctuates it with shitting on journalists that have been hyping him for years.

Great footballer but a plain low IQ gypsy in his head.

Also, if we are to be fair. It's obvious he paid off some influential media people (like Romano) to run his agenda. You can't avoid it on Twitter, suppose it's same elsewhere.

Voting has already concluded.

He's currently in first place on Polymarket.

Because he hasn’t said anything harmful that would affect negatively his teams or teammates. Kid is just cocky and confident and luckily for him he is the best player in the world and can back up those words. He doesn’t put any other player down when he hypes himself. He doesn’t seek drama with his interviews. Only one fumble he had was saying that Madrid cheats and I think that time the club/his agent intervened.

He isn’t stupid IQ wise. He articulates really well in interviews and that is something a really low IQ could never do. Sure his style might set some people off but to me it’s pretty clear he has grown up to be quite smart young man, probably big thanks goes to growing up in La Masia and then being surrounded with professionals in Barca. His father definately didn’t teach him any of that stuff. Respecting family life comes from his mother’s side.

I think he is going to turn up just fine as some of that teenager flamboyantness wears off. I’d like everyone to remind themselves how dumb you were at that age compared to now.
