1 - Joan García

To be quite frank: it's embarrassing to get injured like that. Does he do anything in the gym?

I am 46 and never got injured while playing football at potato fields, asphalt, etc.
Knee injuries usually happen in most bizarre circumstances when you are not prepared for it, like with Gavi and Bernal. They have gotten much harder beating on the field and then simple run or jump fucks you for months. Human body can be weird sometimes.

Now that I think of it, Sevilla game could just be out of pure precaution, and then they added another 2 weeks to make him rest from int. break.

We've seen it countless times how players (often from RM) just narrowly miss out on meaningless games with national team and then be back just in time for club games.

Would be quite a stupid move if Tek would then cost us points.

Joan is obviously not 100% fit, so Sevilla game was always under question. Just pointed out it's pretty convenient he is out until our next game.

What would be your suggestion? Play Joan on painkillers and risk a more lengthy injury?

Disapointed Flick played Tek and not Livaković, Tek is a mascott at this point. I'm pretty sure even Tek is mad about it. 🤣

Nope, play Livakovic.

How does slip like that even affect knee? Could understand muscle sprain at worst.

That is exactly how knee injuries happen. An unexpected loading of the knee at an awkward angle. The amount of force doesn't matter.

Also, there is no such thing as a "muscle sprain".

U sound like you are talking from experience

How does
He has completed the medical check and left the complex 30 mins ago. News should come any time soon.

How the heck a rather simple slip like that can cause an injury? I'm not an orthopedist, but doesn't look like knee did any unnatural motion, like twisting or overstretching, very weird. At least I'm relieved it's not the same knee which suffered an ACL injury.

But yeah, he definitely needs to build some muscles and increase strenght in his legs. Dude has very thin tighs, when it should be the most developed body part of a footballer.

His thin structure helps him to be one of the most agile and quick goalkeepers out there. And not that he doesn’t have plenty of muscles in his legs already since he is a professional athlete. Probably just has had some very bad luck recently with knee injuries or he just has genetically bad knees.
