La Liga Round 36: Alaves - Barca 1-0

100 pts would still be nice = doing it two times while Real only once. Plus 33 wins in a season would break Real's record of 32... :)

    World Cup 2026

Apart from Portugal, dark horse for me is England. Pragmatic coach and Kane in prime form. If the players can develop/show some real teamspirit, they could go deep this time.

    Real Madrid

    Three-peat... :)

    Hansi Flick

Actually nobody did this so far in a LL season with 20 teams (best so far was Real with 18 wins, so one more to go...). Additional ungoing runs: - 100 pts in a season still possible with 3 more wins (was accomplished only twice before; Barca 12/13, Real 11/12) - 33 wins in a season still...

    14 - Marcus Rashford

Ok, that's a valid point. But currently he's just a rotation player. Can the club afford to pay a 30M buying clause and a 15-18M /year salary for a sub, when financial situation is still far from relaxed? Besides, when comparing Rashford's stats of his 10 previous pro seasons to his Barca time...

    14 - Marcus Rashford

I also think that he's too expensive for a non-starter and that the club should only loan for another season or activate the buy clause if Rashford agrees to lower wages. Can't see especially the latter one happening though. If Rashford returns to ManU after this season and the club qualifies...

    Europa League

Why? He's already 30 yo, got no CL experience and only very limited EL. And he's actually slower than eg Gerard Martin or Pau Cubarsi. Not a good argument to play high line....

    Real Madrid

It's also kinda self-fulfilling prophecy by now. It's like Bayern in Germany: even if they don't play well, they still win in the end, because opponents shit the bed or even already start the game with a mindset that makes them losers.

    Champions League 25/26

From the remaining bunch, I just wish Arsenal would go all the way to win the stupid CL pot. I don't care that their gameplay is awful to look at. Just don't want Atletico (ok, at least that would mean Barca went out vs the trophy winners), PSG and esp Bayern to prevail.

CL Quarter Final 2nd leg: Atletico - Barca 1-2

Clément Turpin (referee) Jérôme Brisard (VAR) Turpin records: - Barca (2-1-1 ; 7 yellow cards) - Atletico (2-2-2 ; 6 yellow cards + 1red card)

CL Quarter Final: Barca - Atletico 0-2

Referee Istvan Kovacs has been dropped by UEFA for the rest of the CL season. Pffff, prolly wouldn't have got another game anyways. https://www.goal.com/en/lists/istvan-kovacs-eferee-dropped-uefa-barcelona-atletico-madrid-champions-league-controversy/blte0287e8b2b09da72

    Hansi Flick

Flick now the coach with longest run of Barca homewins in LL in 21st century: 16 games - Flick 15 games - Guardiola 14 games - Valverde That's a long way from longest run of Barca homewins in LL ever though, which stands at 39 games, achieved in the seasons 57/58 till 60/61 under 4 different...

    10 - Lamine Yamal

CL Quarter Final: Barca - Atletico 0-2

So Barca officially filed a complaint at UEFA due to serious referee mistakes and demands a detailed examination, disclosure of referee communication and then possibly official acknowledgment of the mistakes and taking appropriate actions. - I wonder what "appropriate actions" means... In UEFA's...

    Champions League 25/26

Man, that's exactly what I think about it. Please not Real or Bayern to lift the trophy in Budapest!

    Champions League 25/26

Arsenal doing Arsenal things... Clean sheets (now 27/51 games without conceding this season) and somehow getting the ball in the opponent net in the end. But overall far from convincing.

    Hansi Flick

I gotta admit that after his poor tenure at the helm of the German NT, I thought that he'd fail miserably at Barca. Quite the positive surprise that he's been doing so good. Hope he keeps this up, wins some more trophies and then manages to retire on a high note. - 107 games (81-10-16) - ppg =...
