Neymar

thats why Brazil has to nominate him for WC, at least as a super sub
Nominate him for the WC and thus leave a player at home, that works hard for his career would give a bad sign to anyone, who thinks hard work and effort should be rewarded. Neymar just lived off his talent and after a few years of QSG, he gave up his entire sporting ambitions to earn money.
It's his right, but such a player should never be called upon to represent the country and block a spot for someone else, who lives a life of an athlete and not part time counter-strike player.

But look at Brazil, last match 1-1 vs Tunesia, i mean if they would play well and win the matches i wouldnt nominste him either, he became slow and isnt 20% of the player he was in prime but Brazil struggles atm and Vini cant perform there as good as in his peak years at Real so why not a Ney on bench who is still super creative and create a chance out of nothing. He was already crap in WC22 but the goal vs croatia was top top class because of his insane talent.

Especially since he contributed absolutely 0 to Brazil's qualification.

What nonsense

Brazil has let Neymar down countless times. He has nothing more to prove or give for his country

But he should go to the world cup, as motivator for this generation. He is the idol of all those boys

And, as we can see, he still got a little bit of it in him

So is Dinho. Ney can join as part of thw staff if they need a cheerleader.

Neymar is washed bro, just face it. When was the last time he played against proper defenders?

Ancelotti still isn't interested in him, not in Brazil's squad for March.

This could be like Dunga-Ronaldinho case or Scolari-Romario. Brazil media probably will pressure Ancelotti to call Neymar up.

Update: Now Rodrygo is out then i think he will be called up.

Should that matter? I see why it should in a meritocracy. But you pick the team you believe can get you the furthest - if that includes Neymar, you pick him, if not, you don't.

I don't normally like Ally McCoist, but I seen a clip of him talking about Harvey Barnes, before Barnes ruled himself out for Scotland. The host said it would be unfair for Barnes to come in when the rest of the team did the work of qualifying them, it wouldn't be fair on the other wingers. Ally said 'tough, you should see it as a challenge and as competition' implying you should pick the best players who give you the best chance of winning games.

I tend to agree with that - how many times have we seen a player player early rounds of domestic cups and then get dropped later in the competition when the tougher games appear? It doesn't seem fair but it's the way it is. There's no room for sentiment.

If Neymar is seen as making Brazil a better team, and doesn't cause problems behind the scenes, he should 100 percent be picked. Monte makes a good point too - they've let him down loads of times themselves. In 2014 for example he was one of their best players, got injured for the semi final, they also lost Silva due to suspension, and they got hammered 7-1. What can he do about that?

He tried to carry them for years. I don't even like him, he's a knob, but he's a genius and if he can still offer something (and I still rate him as much more talented than Vini or Raph) he should be playing.

He'd probably be better as a part of the coaching staff at this point. As a player he's completely finished. Just can't cope physically anymore. Nostalgia doing a lot of the heavy lifting here.

Fans miss true entertainers like Neymar. The game is boring af. But he can't cut it at the highest level unfortunately.
