PL is easily the best league in the world but that is absolute nonsense. Currently Barca have a better starting 11 on paper than every PL team except Liverpool.

Barca could be the best team in the world and PL would still be the best league because a league is made of 20 teams and numerous other factors.

Newcastle didn't do anything special nor did they even create many clear cut chances.

The players simply sucked and many too many unforced errors.

Fucking Elanga was far far better than any Barca player.

The size and atheltic difference in the two teams stood out a mile.

How did you come to this conclusion? Nothing to do with tactics this match. Team was just not intense and seems like they thought it would be another LL match instead of CL.

Newcastle got into amazing attacking scenarios and positions like 10 to 15 times.

It's just that their low IQ attackers fucked up with the final ball and finishing.

The way he organised his team's semi-passive, mid-block press was brilliant. Didn't let Barca create much. They were compact and watertight without being negative. Also they did very well to beat the offside trap throughout.

Howe was great today. His substitutions were on point too.
