Pep is changing his skin to turn City into a transition team to suit Fraudling Haaland

Reijnders, Doku, Savino, Haaly are great for a transition team.
Not so much all the rest (Foden, Gundo, Bernardo, Cherki, and basically all their defenders)

Smart move. The old way of playing was cooked.

True, you phrased it in a way that you weren't addressing me directly. But seeing as you quoted me, it makes sense to think you were implying it was me who was doing what you said.

The point is, it's highly unlikely that they will win the CL. Because they never have and it's 21 years since they won one of the two big trophies.

We hear how great they are every season, and they fail - every season. As predicted by me, usually.

I actually was agreeing with what you said, and my comment about them being shit was aimed at the troll rattling on about Dortmund.

Anyway, CL is not that important for the time being. A draw vs Chelsea should put us top 4 if we win the easy remaining games.

PSG, Arsenal, and Bayern for me also so far. PSG have the best team and a world class manager, but one bad game and you can be out. I don't know how this Chevalier is playing.

You're welcome
Sometimes it is the teams that stuggle a bit in first half of season and find a new way of playing and it takes off.

Barca with MSN.
PSG last season.

City and Liverpool have good squads and can still be amongst the favs as goes on.

Barca this season???

Fair enough.

I'd expect Arsenal to beat Dortmund, but of course it wouldn't be a foregone conclusion. Inter are the type of team who could give Arsenal a game, though.

FWIW, it's more about the nature of Arsenal as a club (plus I am not a big fan of Arteta). If their entire squad transferred to Man City or Bayern, and they had Pep as a coach, then I'd think they definitely had a big chance.

I know it sounds lazy and has to change some day, but it's Arsenal - no matter how good their players are, they'll find a way to fuck it up.

Do they have the squad? Mid attack, mid midfield, great defensively.
Fair point. I rate Rice, Saka, eze is good. Odegaard is injured a lot now and has lost form.

Guys like Trossard, Merino, Zubimendi, Martinelli really aren't top class quality. They range from average to fairly good. But you wouldn't expect them to hang with the top teams in the final phases of the CL.
