Aye just a complete fluke that Barca more or less instantly created the better chances and Girona stopped creating them from there on in.

Complete fluke.

Girona players I would bet were fresher than Barcas after intl break.. but dont let truth get in way of a good story.

Barc got better almost the instant Pedri went off. Created better chances within minutes.

All due Giron just tiring in those minutes right enough.

Top stuff.

Pedri was tired and slow by then and not doing much on ball or off it.

His game was brilliant goal, a couple bad giveaways for Girona chances and then some decent moments but off pace overall mostly defensively. Looked absolutely knackered.

You rushed your response there, a bit lazy reasoning too. Said in first paragraph why Girona dropped. Pedri wasn't taken alone either so obviously Barca's intensity spiked.

But carry on, old sport.

Girona were the fresher of the two sides given the last two weeks intl football and injuries.

Barca were the side who by 60th min were looking tired and running out of ideas.

That is the reality.

But keep at the idea that Girona would have fallen off anyway if needed.

Indeed if you can keep up you can see I said after Pedri and Yamal went off chief. Both had impact in team improving instantly creating better chances.

Carry on old sporty.

@JamDav1982 are you from the netherlands?

I mean i think frenkie is a great player, but he was not good yesterday the most part of the game. The assist was good. Pedri also wasn‘t better but his goal was good. They all were very very weak yesterday. The only positive thing about the game is the result.

Nah he was good yesterday when include that assist.

Not natural position but played well.

That run he made for it was something they clearly worked on and kept drifting over there.

Ran all day. Never stopped and kept ball moving.

Barca needed that in a front four that in last few games is far too much all or nothing and losing all too much while lacking pressing.

He’s 100% Dutch. I asked him also but he never reacts on it so that says enough. Also clear that it’s not objective then. You can’t say all this things about him that are so obvious not true. Pedri was for instance like always better than him yesterday

Played too slow in an attacking sense the whole game. I can't stand his need to take extra touches or do his Frankie half turns which seem to validate that he (is his head) has won an individual battle but the entire team suffers.

He was poor today.

He seems to be yapping a lot recently how good, or underrated he is. Also about treated unfairly.

Most of the things he has said long before. About his game being judged too much by G/A numbers and that his salary numbers thrown out were lies and way off.

Done an interview with El Pais.

If he had done it before contract extension you would have cried he’s putting pressure on club.

No good way to about with some.

Maybe his teammates convinced him to be more vocal since they mention him more and more?

Bottom line is he is one of the most respectful players. Trust me on if club had let him go he would not resort to shenanigans as likes of Suarez have done.
