For me, the team looked exhausted. After first half vs PSG, we played as if we were knackered.

It's very hard to fix this, unless he tweaks his approach.
There is zero excuse for these players to be knackered. The extended summer holidays that Barca had might've done more harm than good. Should've played the CWC to keep the legs fresh

Don't agree. Shortest squad of the top 6-8 teams and most demanding pressing system of any team are direct causes. Much more impact than having an extended holiday break.

I don't think they are physically tired, but mentally they are tapped out.

One aspect of his highline that doesn't really get spoken about, it's demoralizing to see the ball go in your net every time you make a mistake.

No opportunity to recover.

He's averaging 38 goals conceded across his 3 full seasons as a coach in the league, let that sink it, players know they can't make a mistake, tires you mentality.

They aren't pressing correctly but even when they are once the press is beaten it's a 1v1 with the keeper.

Anyway, if there's something Flick earned is the right to play it his way to the end. We will see in june if there's progress or we are worse than at the same point last year.

Season is early, and last season we overcame even a worse period. But we need to recover very quickly.

Relax.

If there is anyone I trust in Barca it's Flick. He will do the necessary .

Flick definitely needs to adjust some parts of his game but he isn't the main problem.

The squad is poor and that lies on Laporta and Deco.

@khaled_a_d said it right, the current squad did overachieve last year because of Flick but there was always going to be a time when the deficiencies were going to catch up to him if they weren't addressed.

Defence was our weakest line last year and this year it only got worse. It needed to be addressed last summer. It was/is only a matter of time until Flick wasn't going to be able to squeeze anymore juice out of the lemon lol.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if this season is a failure and he walks at the end of it.

It's his philosophy and I don't agree completely with it.

We saw it against Newcastle, which is the best example. Attack and attack when you can simply waste time with frontline fouls.

We saw it again today, why settle for 3-1 when we can score? Flick is simply not pragmatic, but fanatic about being involved in scoring till the final whistle.
and thats why we love him

Flick knows the defence is not going well. Reason why the CB has changed every game or other game so far this season.
i read a recent interview with him where he commented on why he was rotating the backline.

He said it was because they wanted to use different profiles for different types of matches.

Not sure if he really meant it though. Its not obvious for me who is our best CB pair this year.

He's bogged down by the squad and injuries. 2 of the goals came right at the end after we got demoralized by the misses and threw everything at it. Normally we should have won this 3-2 if we took our chances and we wouldn't have needed to play suicidal.

Bro averages 39 league goals conceded across 3 full seasons.

2 of those seasons, with a backline tailor made for his type of football.

Some people CBs are the problem, smh. Facts don't matter.

just let the man cook and accept we will concede a shit ton of goals while he's our coach.

But when the Midfield is shit and gives us absolutely nothing, which has been the case in all of our bad performances this season, can't expect miracles.

What we really miss is prime Casado
We also can't play without both raphinha and yamal, one it's okay, two we have little chance
