Spending 500m is not a guaranteed success like in Fifa. If the team balance is shit, all the individual class in the world won't help you. Gonna be interesting, if Slot will manage to turn it around. Won't be easy, as expectations are huge with these transfers.

Individual class? They spent 500m on some 'promises'. It's not like they signed some world class player.

This Chelsea side has looked really good from the few matches I’ve seen. Just unlucky to not have results go their way. I think we will struggle against them in the CL

Football in general is in a very bad place and only being propped up by brilliance from managers.

Because of how much managers have improved tactically, the level of the average professional footballer has increased - but because of the emphasis on the collective, the burden to produce magic from truly great footballers has never been lower.

I recently watched clips of the 3-0 at the Bernabeu by prime R10 and Lamine is not near him in explosiveness and raw athletic ability. And Lamine is considered a demigod in terms of talent today. I won't even mention bums like Isak and co.
