Don't think he was that bad. He set up a couple of really good chances and was instrumental in the ball recovery that led to the goal. Second half our attack had very little to do. Won the freekick and a yellow. Freekick was bad but his overall performance was actually good, not too many unforced errors. He suffers from expectations based on hype. He is not Messi. He does not have the experience yet to drop in to midfield and force a tempo change or win a match with a perfect FK.
