Watching Delap progress will be interesting. He's a good finisher and a powerful runner with and without the ball, his awareness and hold up play is very hit and miss for a top side. He'll need to improve quite a bit in certain areas.

Next year is gonna be strongest PL Top 6-8 ever imo.

Liverpool adding Wirtz, Kerkz, Frimpong + Striker to team who already won league
Arsenal adding Zubimendi, Sesko to a young strong team getting better every year
Man City adding Cherki, Reijnders, Aït-Nouri. Rodri back, plus all the new signings Marmoush, Nico, Savinho, have more time to bed in.
Chelsea adding Estevao, Santos, Delap + Left winger. Young team getting better every year.
Newcastle can spend up to £200 again now with no FFP troubles + CL money.

Villa might struggle to beat their recent performances due to FFP issues.
Man United with Mbeumo, Cunha + Striker will be much improved.
Spurs with new manager + CL money + Couple signings have to be better.

Feel bad for the lad, I know they had a shocking league campaign but he did win the EL.

Still, it could prove a good decision, IF they have someone competent lined up. Look at how Bournemouth improved when they went from O'Neil to Iraola.

If that was the case why would they even hire him in the first place? Surely they would do due diligence and know most if not all things about staff, especially a head coach.

Cause to laymen the situation there has become unbearable in recent year.

Can seem Postecoglou as type that doesn’t shy away from speaking his mind. Very strong character. Maybe got sick of some people internally and frictions.

I am not saying this is what happened, but don’t be surprised if he delves into what happened in few years and it’s something along these lines.

Something of a conspiracy theory, but could make sense. I'd be more inclined to get behind it fully though if they had done very well in the league and he was randomly sacked out of the blue.

However, the politics amongst Israel and Palestine may have played its part, yes.

Tottenham won the wildcard for CL, but overall it's been one of the most embarrassing seasons for the club, since I've been following football.

I believe this decision was made months ago, but caretaker role was unnecessary while doing well in Europa League.
