LaLiga 2

I like him, but I am not sure he is worth the money.

Look at the record sales from Liga 2
If you look at base transfers (Pedri base was 5M) and then remove players sold from a relegating side (essentially they were bought as La Liga players) only Salva Ballesta was a transfer that cost 10M+ that was moved directly playing from Segunda, and even him, he had 4 years in La Liga before it.

Yeremay has zero games in La Liga at the age of 22 which is kind scary for the tagged price, and I think him and Deportivo are doing a mistake here. Unless they get promoted, he will lose value the longer he stayed in lower division.

For Barca, I would stay away for those numbers, 12M is as high I would go for

Good post. Don't think I would even go as high as 12m, would rather take Antonito for free.

Think Yeremay will surely be sold in summer if they won't be promoted (unlikely). Probably then clubs will still be offering around 15m. But I agree with your point, if he stays in Segunda for another year then his value will decrease even if he continues to play well.

Looks like Elche will be promoted today too, 3-0 up away at Deportivo at HT. Good job by Eder Sarabia.

Meanwhile two open spots for the playoffs. Almeria leading 1-0 against already relegated Tenerife and would qualify with a win.

OTOH Racing and Granada are directly competing for last spot, 1-1 HT so Racing would finish 6th right now. Granada needs a win but will play second half with 10.

Don't know really, didn't watch either team. Levante scored second most goals this season (behind Almeria) and OTOH Elche have the best defense. Both teams should do better than Valladolid this year anyway.

Looking at Levante's team, they have two good youngsters. Carlos Alvarez played 3rd most minutes in the team and had 7 goals and 11 assists, will be interesting to see if he can make a step up to a higher level. Could potentially be sold too with Levante reportedly having 100m debt.

And Carlos Espi (19) was regular of the bench (34 subs) but he made the most out of it. 6G+2A in 440 minutes is fantastic return. No idea why he didn't play more and questionable if he will now in La Liga. Maybe they will loan him back to a Segunda team.

No real standout player in that Elche squad. They have the Uruguayan striker Agustin Alvarez who I've liked 4-5 years ago on loan from Sassuolo. He was their joint top scorer with 8 goals but probably won't stay. They'll need to find a reliable striker (easier said than done) or they will struggle as unlikely they'll be as defensively solid in La Liga.

Elche will probably go right back down.

Some real name brand teams in Liga 2, that can't seem to put it together

@soul24rage This Argentinian lad is currently second top scorer of Segunda.

Ended the regular season with 20 goals and 4 assists but Mirandes is still in the promotion playoffs now.

Alaves reportedly rejected 15m offer and demand his clause (20m). Would be a great business for them considering they've signed him on a free a few years ago.

Is this the guy who was the star of the LaLiga Promises Sevilla side that went head to head with Xavi Simons led Barcelona back then in those youth tournaments?

Face looks familiar.

Also mentioned in this article is that Sevilla holds 40% of his future sale rights until 2026. Levante will probaby try to extend his contract although doubtful they can keep him around for 18 more months so they can keep all the money.
