The reason we lost were individual mistakes/dumb errors defensively, but I'm also not convinced either Lewandowski or the Shark are what we need to win this competition.

Yeah, less said about the keeper the better. PSG are probably out if not for some superb games from Donnarumma. Especially vs Liverpool and Villa away.

PSG> Liverpool> Arsenal/Barca> Inter/Bayern/Real

This year. Inter beat Bayern, but they had a bunch of injuries. Barca was unlucky vs Inter but are better.

The more I see PSG play, they're basically 90% of us in attack (mainly due to Yamal's brilliance and Raphinha's work rate) and double as solid defensively. Not because they have better defensive personnel aside from the fullbacks which are the best in the world in their positions...but because they're managed better, and more pragmatically.

Enrique grew a lot in the last few years.

Neither is Hansi's (for all his amazing work) total disdain for defense/pragmatism.

He said they'll work on improving the defensive concepts this summer. That they couldn't do a lot of what he wanted due to injuries + the match schedule.

PSG have a league they can coast that they won like a month and half ago.

Their CB are far more athletic than ours too, which is also important

Nice try, but Pool isn't beating Barca.

PSG mangled you lot beyond recognition over both legs

We'll know pretty soon how true that ends up being, depending on if we see the team's back 4 at the half-way line with 1 goal lead in the last mins of game or not.

Hansi's a genius at attacking football, but his disdain for defense was apparent even at Bayern.

PSG were almost going out vs. Aston Villa.
Donnarumma saved their asses there.

So it's not like PSG aren't very prone to conceding a lot of goals themselves. The difference however as khaled mention is that their defenders are far more athletic than ours. Especially with Balde + Kounde out. Inigo and Cubarsi are not the most athletic CBs.

Then their pressing + pace + ability to challenge 1v1 from the front trio also puts a lot of stress on a defence.
