Yeah a lot of people really underestimate the importance of being wiry and hard to knock off the ball as a small man. He doesn't have huge arms but he's very strong and his incredible balance gives him an advantage in protecting the ball too. It's not all about six packs and muscles.

With logic like that, Neuer is inferior to Cech, Kaka to Lampard, Nesta to Ferdinand, Alves to Neville, Maldini to Vidic, Marcelo to Cole, Xavi to Scholes, etc.You know it's gonna be a disaster from the first line - 'he hasn't played in the Premier League'. Then he reels off Messi bingo in terms of idiotic stuff people try to use against his GOATness.
Pele and Maradona are not in contention either, lol. With logic like that, Neuer is inferior to Cech, Kaka to Lampard, Nesta to Ferdinand, Alves to Neville, Maldini to Vidic, Marcelo to Cole, Xavi to Scholes, etc.
You know ball. Good postPretty bad list outside of the obvious big 3. Apparently, people don't even understand what Di Stefano did.
Real Madrid did not win La Liga for 21 years before he joined them. With him they suddenly won 8 La Ligas and 5 CLs in a row. Then, when he left them, Real Madrid again only won 2 La Ligas in 22 years.
Now imagine making a list where Ronaldinho with about 3 great seasons in his career which weren't much better than what Neymar has shown at his peak and where you could argue that Henry got robbed of a Ballon d'Or is anywhere near that.
Whoever made that list clearly grew up in the 00s. Ronaldo, Zidane, Ronaldinho can be nowhere near a top 10 of all time list. Ronaldo had the potential at his peak but he got destroyed by injuries, his peak was way too short. Zidane showed up in a handful of big games and did absolutely nothing more than Iniesta ever did. He'll eternally sneak into these lists because he juggled the ball around the halfway line against a heavily overweight and past it Brazil squad in 2006.
Cristiano is a leech. He left Man United, they went on to another CL final and 2 PL titles without him. He left Real Madrid, Real Madrid went on to win 2 more CL finals and a La Liga with 95 points without him. He got injured for Portugal, Portugal win the Euro Cup final without him. Bonafide stat padder and marketing doll. Padding goalscoring stats in the same era as Messi has done wonders for him, casuals put him "up there with Messi" even though it's as absurd as putting Lewandowski at his best up there with Messi.
Compare to what happened to Barca after Messi had left. Europa League 0-3 at home to Eintracht Frankfurt at some point while Madrid keep winning CLs as if nothing had happened. And they'd still compete if Modric and Kroos were 10 years younger. Mbappe or Ronaldo makes 0 difference for them.

Cruyff, Beckenbauer and Di Stefano should definitely be 4-6 in my opinion, in whatever order. What's your list?
