Not to make excuses for Haaland as he's been terrible in way too many KO games now, but both Haaland and Marmoush are players that thrive in a more fast paced quick transition style of play.

And what is Pep cooking up? Slow, sterile and inconsistent with not much creativity.

He's turned City into an industrial team.

Kinda like a factory when all the machines are working streamlessly. But in the process, he's basically zapped a lot of individual freedom from a lot of these players. He wants them constrained to a certain degree.

Far different from his Barca/Bayern sides. He's found the formula to win league titles but holy god his City teams are boring as shit.

It's insanely boring and now he don't have the guys to make this shit work either.
Maybe he'll find a way next season, but I have major doubts. Should have left last year along with Klopp.

Has already spent 212 million euros during the winter window yet the team still looks dire.

Might need some time for the new signings to come through but I have serious doubts he’s able to build a new team there.

I think the reasons why he doesn't want to leave is that City is probably the only team he can get what he wants with no strings attached.

Here and at Bayern he didn't have such power and influence. At City they will kiss his ass and give him what he wants.

Pep should have walked out at the end of this season, not extend his contract through 2027. It ruined his marriage, as clearly he broke some promise to his wife, I guess she was homesick. Reportedly now Pep flies once a week to Barcelona to reconcile with her, but this affects his work at City.

The team is in bad state, I mentioned it before - this is the end of an cycle that began in 2016-17. It peaked in 2023, but now it's just boring old machine that needs parts replaced. Some of the young blood like Foden fail.

Makes you wonder if the same would’ve happened had he stayed here
