Nah, offense scored buckets of goals. Least of our problems. Problems are De Jong is more CM than CDM, and CB pair is bad. GK is mediocre at best also.

The entire defensive central axis needs fixing.

Balde gives more offensively, but let's not act as if him being a starter makes the defense better. It doesn't.

Offense will only go into higher gear naturally as Lamine irons out his shooting skills more and more.

He is basically operating near prime Neymar level ability already. Less shooting ability than prime Neymar but much more durable, and dare I say, decisive. Neymar's biggest accomplishment as focal point of a team was.....COVID CL final.

Stunning player .. nothing more to stay. His ability to bust accelerations at +90 minutes is a thing to behold. Idea of selling him for 80 M is laughable .

guy is basically no1 on the planet in 3-4 key metrics for an offensive player:

- stamina & intensity
- timing of runs off the ball
- clutchness

And Lamine takes care of the rest, mainly dribbles, vision, passing. The offense is set for years. All the club needs to do is take care of them for fatigue and injuries and the goals are gonna pour.

If the club also had someone like Isak... talking about 100-120 goals a season only in the league.
MSN hit 110-120 LL goals in 14/15, 15/16, and 16/17.

90 points minimum in all 3 seasons too. In fact, we got robbed in 16/17 of a league title.

If a perfect world, you have players like Messi, prime Ronaldo and so on.

Who have impact and are a joy to watch, skillful all that stuff.

But in this imperfect world, you want your attacker to have IMPACT above all.

Which is why I never cared about his overall game.

This Brazilian Mofo has been delivering for us since he put pen to paper and as stepped it up a level since season.

The single best transfer window any team as had in maybe the last decade.

There's no need for someone to compete vs Yamal for time on the ball. Nobody could do it anyway. This is brilliantly effective. One magician on the ball like Lamine, one guy to torment the oppositions off the ball like this guy.

The only thing lacking is a defensive leader that can cope with playing under constant pressure. Have no clue how the club gets their hand on one in our situation though...

If PSG lose the CL final, Ballon D'Or is between him and Yamal.

Yamal is of course the better player but Raphinha's body of work can't be ignored.
