You should tell that Araujo, who was with fresh legs against fuckin Thuram who had 100 minutes.
Exactly true. I am fucking say the same. You are 10 min play and that guy who was clearly fucking tired and you cannot defend at ALL. Come on! This guy has to stay 1000 km away from this team. Period. Fucking amateur. SELL him no matter what. The most frustrating game I lived to see.

With that 3-2 lead nearing the end of the game you just have to defend, like, come on, park the bus, seeing the defense be so thin with minutes left to go is insane.

You don't have to park the bus. You can just keep possession. Move them around. We have no idea how to control the match in any other way except by going forward to score goals and exposing ourselves for counters. And that is no doubt a flaw of Flick.

He needs to sit down with yamal and the rest of the players and watch this moment.

Situational awareness, that many were talking about in the first half of the season.

We figured it out in the 2nd of the season, but at the most critical moment, with all chips are on the table.

We went full flick lol.

Problem is the CL is not the type of competition you can rely on constant improvement step by step. So when you are presented with a huge chance to make a mark, you fucking do it. You don't let it slip through your fingers.

Next season you could have a bad draw and be out in quarters.

When you have the chance to catch an opponent on their knees in the 2nd half like we got Inter today, and you get the qualifying goal right at the end, you absolutely cannot behave like we did in the last 5 mins of the match and basically hand them the tie.

This is the problem. There's nothing to be proud about tonight for me. We beat ourselves with huge individual errors, and managerial errors unfortunately.

Exactly, no guarantees with improvement we make it back here.

K.O football is about luck and moments

We were looking for a 2nd goal, with two freaking minutes left.smh

you're absolutely right, but it seems like nearly all of our CL titles have come from a tough draw anyway. We never madrided ourselves into a title. It's not the Barca way.

Serghei, cannot be a better description of the situation. You ARE absolutely true. Nothing to be said more. He completely failed on this. So bad to loose in this way. Just beaten ourself due to poor / beginner management.

This is true, and you also have to account for other teams improving.
We still don't know in May if we'll even be able to strengthen the team to the level we need to be back up there next season.
Could be another summer with FFP drama and uncertainty.

That Sommer save in the first half was insane. While our keepers of course concede every single shot on target. Not once does our shit defense get saved by otherworldly GK performance.

No proper goalkeeper, Lewa injured. Okay, got to give him that.

BUT

He still received too much hype in recent months. Sure, on paper fighting for treble in May sounds awesome. But domestically Real are in rebuild phase (as proven by Arsenal dismantling them) and in Europe Benfica, Dortmund (5th in Bundesliga) and Inter aren't tier 1 teams yet we still concede goals and chances left and right, many times running a very fine (toe poke) offside line while relying on Yamal and Rafinha bangers upfront.

He needs to fix the defense ASAP. Can't concede 7 (+ toepoke offside) to an old Italian team while chasing the game for all but 5 minutes.

Yeah, Inter were shockingly bad in the 2nd half. Slim chances we catch an opponent like them again in the semis next season if we get there again.
