What are you talking about man???? His goals scored this season are only -1 less than xG. So something the hell is wrong with you? If he doesn't score from an easy position, but he scores from an extremely difficult position, then be objective and write: he didn't use the perfect situation, he used the improbable situation. Bias against him is too predictable and foolish at this point. Barca was 4-0 up against Madrid with RL9 a few weeks ago but being 4-0 up against Valencia without him is supposed to be some nail in RL9's coffin.
Not to mention how RL103 banging in goals against teams around midtable and in the bottom before the Clasico was dismissed with "he needs to do it against the likes of Bayern and Madrid" first but wins against the 19th placed team without him are supposed to be conclusive enough when used against him.

He will score goals because he's Robert Lewandowski. But he's clearly washed compared to his prime or even 2 years ago. The first goal Ferran scores, he never gets there. Barca can only play Raph in behind in central areas when Lewa plays.

Washed version of RL9 at 36 is still the best scorer in the top 5 leagues and on course to outscore all but 1 of Suarez and Benzema's peak seasons
That's why he's the best striker of this gen
It’s about the quality of play without him, the overall dinamic. He is invisible evan when he scores. Outdated player.

Nobody questions him for the big games, he should probably start because he's been good there so far. But give Copa and Liga to Ferran. If anything until his good form is there.
Speaking of midtable clubs he had some very stinky performances against them this season. Before Clasico been good yeah but after that his age came to effect.
By the way, it's not just 19th placed Valencia. We smoked a pretty good Betis side that outplayed us in the league, same for Mallorca away, Dortmund game changed when he got subbed off... A lot of examples. The football is just uncomparably better when he's not on the pitch.

That doesn't mean you should hold onto them until they reach that age or older.
There's so much else that goes into playing as a striker than just goals. Not only as an individual player, but for the team as well.
I don't understand how people that actually watch football don't get it. I always like to bring up the example of Luca Toni who still put up very good numbers despite being old.
Now Lewandowski is an all-time great striker and player and even better so he will obviously be able to score his share of goals, but he doesn't make the team better with his overall play being so poor and shocking at times.
He'll turn 37 soon. It's time to move on and ideally this should be his last months at Barca, but we all know he'll stick around for another year.
