Let’s not forget the importance of a striker in entire economy of a game. If a striker miss one or two opportunities to score that will reflect on entire team overall. Then, everybody will be turning attention to a lb or rb or goalie errors, you name it. Imagine that either Fermin or Lewandowski would have scored last game. We could easily won with 2-1 and nobody looked back at Cubarci or Balde or Cassado errors. That’s why the strikers in general are much higher paid in a team than anybody other player. They are more important just because they have to score goals. Overall they could have a bad game but if they score, everything else would be secondary. That’s my theory about it.

Whoever is even remotely intelligible about the sport, knows that this game should have been 5-1 to say the least.

We had 4.25 xG in the home loss to Girona last year. 3.37 last night. So we created more and clearer chances vs Girona. The situation in the last few games has been similar to what happened last season in some matches.

We have been inconsistent in Nov and Dec, true. But we are 2nd in the CL and still have a shot at winning LL. All while playing some of the most attractive football in Europe.
Flick should be afforded the same patience as Xavi unless things really turn sour.
Also, we dominated yesterday’s game with several youngsters. Not his fault that the players don’t take their chances. 🤷♂️
