Julian Alvarez

He’s not overrated be got bought for 30 odd million and for that price he’s a good investment.

One thing I don’t think suits him whatsoever is playing that CAM role, he loses the ball way too much. Needs a rest currently though and looks burnt out.

With a full strength squad at his disposal he’s probably a rotation player currently.

I don't rate him. Wouldn't even think of exchanging him for Nunez. He's comically overrated on this forum because of his nationality.

He's perfect for the role he has in a full strength City squad.

He doesn't have the attributes to be a lone centre forward.

I see his future as either a squad player/rotational starter in big club or as a starter in a mid level club.

Good player no doubt. Not world class potential in any way, shape or form.

Overrated to what though?

Not sure what you are seeing, but he has a lot of attributes to be a great lone centre forward, scoring in a lot of big games and being versatile. Even if he doesn't score, his overall play and especially his pressing off the ball is a great asset.

Would I start him over Haaland? No, but Haaland is a monster and Alvarez would absolutely start in clubs like Arsenal, Spurs, Man United, Chelsea and etc.

In a full strength City squad his role is benchwarmer as it was seen last season.

He's better than that.

I'd say a rotational starter/squad player level. Kinda like Ferran is for Barca now.

I think a total benchwarmer would be harsh.....

He is not rated as a superstar like haaland that's why I say he is not overrated. he is a great supporting player and always turns up. in that respect reminds me if of Pedro. you need these players, because stacking superstar power like galacticos takes you nowhere

He doesn't play exactly on Ferran or Cardiphinha's position but I'd take him in a heartbeat over those two bums combined.
