It's very simple. To speak big, you need to act big. When we act big in CL, then we can talk about us being better than Madrid. Can't get more simple than that. Consistency in La Liga, beating Bilbao, Celta, Sociedad, it's excellent.
CL performances in the knockout phase, hell, even getting there again, it's a whole new level.
They didn't prove anything in that Madrid defense, they were pathetic in the last two campaigns. They were carried by their attack and Courtois which is undisputably the reason they won that CL, it had little or nothing to do with the defensive line, who by any metric you want to use were awful.
True, our UCL-win was like Chelsea 2012 level stuff, Courtois i think set a new all-time record for saves and Benzema converted every half chance he got, so our overall defense was ass.

Agree.
His time ended at Barca before it should have. He took the easy road & money.
We owe him nothing.
He could have strived to be the best in the world at Barca but that ended in 2017.
