We don't have the cap space to afford Messi. In the end what Messi would cost on the books, coupled with the salary reductions is an impossibility.

This decision proves two things.

1) not convinced by sports project excuse is BS, considering his dad used that to exit PSG and sign for... Miami.

2) Fairplay for choosing Miami ahead of Saudi. It means the decision of he, Alba and Busi isn't 100% about the money. Which is a surprise to me. I'm sure the plan was always Miami for the amigos, but the unexpected Saud money probably threw a serious consideration into it.
