I don't really care who captains are on paper. More important is that we finally have a young player who shows a true leadership qualities and character which we've lacked since Masche left imo.

This charade with the captaincy has to stop. He can't be our new captain. If Messi returns he'll probably be our new (old) captain but if that doesn't happen than Araujo or Mats should be tho chosen ones.

It is the players who vote, who are the ones who train with those folks every day and know them well.
I will never get the fans obsession with "player X should be/shouldn't be captain "
We have the best system actually.

He's a solid back up right back, no issues with him staying.

We'll spend around 100-150m this summer, probably net around 30-50m.

We can't be wasting money on back up Right backs, he will leave next summer.

With Pique, Busquets, Alba leaving and possibly Roberto that will be a very big reduction of wages for sure that’ll help us massively. Along with selling loans and deadwood players we should be able to rebuild quite well this summer. Mission off to a great start.

Well, he is on low wages compared to Impothep and Alba so from the financial side we are not suffering too much, but yes he should go.

He renewed recently, he's clearly part of the plans for next season. His wages are very low so him leaving won't make much of a difference.
He's 100% gone in 2024 anyway.

Why do people keep repeating this? He was on around 200k per week before he signed his new deal and as we know a player cannot reduce salary to less than 50% of his old one, so he's on at least 100k per week. That is not a very low salary.

So you're saying he's on 4.5m euros per season?.

Yea very low salary for a professional footballer at a club the size of Barcelona.

Doesn't get much lower than that.

100k a week would be the bare minimum then. We can prolly assume it's a bit more than that. Also why 4.5 if we are assuming he is earning 100k a week? My guess around 8 9 million a year.

I really don't know how much he's making, was just using the numbers provided to highlight that it's not that much really.

I don't know the exact figure but I'd guess at this moment in time he's one of the lower earners at the club & a solid rotation piece, so the least of our worries right now.
