Nothing Special, Are you impressed with the board?

Laporta and Co haven't done anything special.

Lewa is here because of the barca name and us paying 50m I don't see anything crazy

Everything is sub par or average

From sponsorships, to hiring Xavi hardly an inspired choice it's something anyone could have done.

I'd be impressed if we sold the deadwood for decent cash.

Ppl like to hate on Barto but we made good cash on deadwood like Gomes and Mina. Even Paulinho left for profit all 3 would leave for free under Barto.

So far seeing lots of doom and gloom around Alemany and Jordi cruyff leaving and I have to say to that is

Meh nothing special, you guys agree or disagree let me know

They made a big effort to make us go from that Mallorca lineup with Puig, Jutgla, Luuk etc to winning the title.

The work isn't perfect as we so far suck in Europe. But we're at least heading towards the right direction. Or we at least were. The economic shackles might make it harder to build a CL competitive squad in the upcoming years. We've gone toe to toe with Madrid lately, winning a few, losing a few. In terms of H2H we're almost on par, not a shambles squad like if you compare United to City.

Impossible to say if another board would've been better. It's about hits and misses. Imo there's been more hits than misses, and I'm not only talking about signings.
Gomes and Mina were sold because there was interest from PL. What do you expect? We bring in the best negotiator in the world and we sell Umtiti to Inter for 30m outta nowhere?

That Mallorca line up had a ton of players missing from it and was not the team at that time and then spent hundreds of millions on top of that.

Not all that much work to do waiting for injuries to come back and improve that team drastically even before signings and young players coming through/maturing that had not been the case in years.

Alba/Balde/Roberto/Busquets/Pedri/Gavi/Depay/Demele/Fati even Braithwaite who was pish but better than some starters there.

All missing from that Mallorca game for one reason or another.

To make out as if that is the players inherited and come from there is not reality.

MATS was about the only starter in his correct position that game.

Still, our squad is much better now compared to then.

Of course.

Players have matured and spent hundreds of millions.

In comparison to previous two summers when cuts were being made and squad getting worse.

Still that Mallorca game is largely irrelevant and not any real reflection of the squad at that point. Did well to win it mind you.

Y'all focusing on Mallorca too much. It was a low point for us. Sure injuries and suspensions played part, but the type of players we had to rely on that game don't exist in the squad anymore. Sure there's still dross, including some signings since then, but we wouldn't reach that level of mediocracy in our lineup now.

Nah... Mallorca is 'focused' on when others mentions it as if some bar club has come from.

Nonsense.

Of course dont rely on them when spend hundreds of millions and 8/9 players missing.

MATS/Araujo/Garia and FDJ are in that team though and still relied on.

We've improved the squad heavily since then, no?

Mistakes started with the hiring of Xavi.
The second mistake was to make him a shadow SD with power over signings and draw his buddy Jordi to do that together, and kick Planes out
The third mistake was to pull levels to bring whoever Xavi and Jordi wanted and jeopardize the future of the club
The last fatal one is now with Allemany kicked out because of the idiocy of our transfer policy and direction.

The first few months of Laporta were OKish, after Xavi hiring everything went downhill
