2 huge chances (xG measured) for Atleti
But they dominated us in possession, field tit, and non-shot xG after min. 20 of the game

Never good to see such a performance.
It's preposterous to claim it's fine because 'defense was solid' LMAOL

This sort of nonsense of killing a game after 1-0 and holding on for dear life can work against most of the shite in LaLiga but sure as hell will never ever lead to European success.

We play more like Madrid than Madrid do!

Lol.

After sleeping overnight I must say that I am still amazed how Barca held for a dear life after the goal. It was intentional drawing back. That is for sure. But it was bad and on the adge of loosing. This is bad tactics and bad play.

Araujo saved a sitter, MAtS saved those 2 shots with a skill
That is not the way you hold your lead.

Xavi was lucky.

Excellent result, a couple of good minutes in first half, but the rest was shite.
We were extremely lucky to steal those 3 points from Atletico there.

Good, they won multiple CLs playing like shit and "being lucky" and I'm sure their fans didn't complain not even half as much as this fan base would if we win La Liga this way.

At this point I don't care anymore how we play, just win baby. Especially in traditional tough away games.

Hope this will be a huge morale boost. The win comes after a very tough game in which both sides deserved the 3 points. The first half was vintage Barca, that's how Cruyffismo should be executed - quick, short passes and combinations to exploit the spaces of the opponent. Not the Busi-taka that's been terrorizing us for the majority of the last 10 years.

I don't understand why our defence isn't that rock solid when it comes to UCL? In La Liga our defence improved a lot compared to past seasons, we have the best defence in the league..

1. because La Liga in general is on the weakest level since 2000s, so we are defending well against mostly very average to poor sides
2. a type of football in La Liga is latino-technical with less pressing, running and physique than in EPL or let's say Germany. So, even a defense with Busi can be stone-wall in that type of circumstances
3. a type of attacks in La liga is again also latino-technical with majority of actions coming from possession, passing, some sort of TikiTaka type of football.
While in CL, there are more crosses, headers and different sorts of attacks where Mats can't cope well with crosses, our defenders (plus Busi) can't cope with headers etc + paired with more physical and faster football compared to La Liga

A somewhat exaggerated analogy: imagine Saudi Arabia being a champion of Asia and playing a good defense, but then losing to a majority of European teams, Brazil and Argentina with 4:0.
And then their journos asking: I don't get it, our defense is stone-wall against Yemen and Turkmenistan, but we concede for fun against Messi, Haaland and Mbappe or France/Brazil/England. Why?
