What arguments are 'nit picking' to undermine Mbappe?

Minimizing his skill set and chalking up his abilities to just speed, questioning the quality of his goals (the usual "tap in " argument), cherry picking samples to reveal some supposed inability to step up in " big games". You know, the usual.

You can also see it in how his WC final performance is assessed. This weird need to put an asterisk next to a world cup final hattrick by pointing out a lack of impact in the first 70 minutes of the game shows you that there is an unwillingness to give this guy his full credit.

You guys are talking about different things. Whether one likes or dislikes Mbappe has very little do with whether one rates him as a good or great player. I think most people rate him as a great player already, just that some have legitimate doubts about his overall play (myself included). However whether one likes him or not, it is all subjective, isn't it? It doesn't really matter. Not everyone likes Messi, or Ronaldo, or any player for that matter and it is not surprising at all.

Personally I don't dislike Mbappe as a person or player, perhaps because I don't know a lot of those things he allegedly said or did that you guys know about. He is a young guy. Honestly I'd drool over him and would LOVE us to get him, despite how unlikely it is. Having said that, as someone who hasn't watched him that regularly (I don't really watch PSG or the French league), based on his performance at this WC I'd say it is reasonable for him to receive a bit of criticism, if you can even call it so.

Nah you accuse anyone who doesnt agree with you of doing that and come out with shite like Save for injury, he will surely go down as the greatest player in WC history and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

When folk respond to that Messi was better and that is basis of argument you cry about 'nit picking'.

Usual.

Messi won the WC as best player there. Lets see if Mbappe can do the same.

Noticed that too. Macron was also in the French dressing room to celebrate following their SF win...

He loves the cameras a tad too much. Should never be this much involvement of political figure heads with football. Gives off a bad look.

Yeah, is constantly looking for ways to touch him. This is one looks bad:

Mbappe is like "dude, enough is enough. Stop touching me."

It's honestly laughable how much hate he gets. For what, exactly?

Messi insults an opponent during an itv after a WC win: "What a massive Chad!!!!!" (yeah, granted, Dutch player had been cunts apparently, he still could have taken the high road)
Mbappe pouts after losing a WC final "he's so unlikeable! Despicable human being! Scumbag! Dogshit role model for our kids!!!!"

They're footballers. They're human. They're playing a sport watched by millions of people, with incredibly high stakes. And sometimes they have weird reactions, or they can come across as entitled. Which is particularly normal when you're a kid. And a lot of them are still kids.

Don't get me wrong, I don't particularly like him as a person (most of my friends actually call me a Mbappe hater, because even though I always rated him super high as a player he has disappointed me several times, outside of the pitch). I do think he often talk too much in the media, he does seem pretty arrogant (like 99% of football players) etc. But he's sooooooo far off from being the worst footballer out there, personality-wise. And yet, he's being treated as he was constantly being insulting to everyone. Any thing he says or does is interpreted the worse way possible. Like that dumb picture of him celebrating a penalty miss that might send his team to a WC semi-final. Somehow, a bunch of twats who never set foot on a football pitch went on a rant about him "fake laughing" (what the actual fuck ).

You guys can chill, it's fine. What were you guys doing when you were 23? Were you being super humble, perfect role models in every aspect of your life? And if so, were you also at the same time being one of the best in the world at your job?

If so, kudos. If not... maybe take a breath, put everything in context, and chill out? Or, you know, keep on hating, I don't think Mbappe gives two fucks about you. Just saying that for you, being filled with hate isn't really doing you much good.

He shoved Messi in the back at PSG earlier this year when Neymar 'stole' the pen from him. Another time he quit his transition run on the left when another PSG player passed the ball to Messi instead, on a break where PSG would've scored ironically with Mcry if he didn't literally give up. He also defends about half the amount Messi currently does being 12 years younger, that's unconscionably degenerate entitlement. Off the pitch he's dating a tranny only god knows how far the depravity goes.

Yeah same, saw the videos and I really wanted to tell Macron to fuck off. There's also a video of his fucking speech in the locker room after the game, with player absolutely gutted and that cunt talking for 5 minutes just for the camera. Dude, leave them alone, it's one of the worst feeling they'll ever have in their professional life, they need to process it alone, or at least together, but clearly not with someone who has nothing to do here. He even grabs Deschamps by the neck at the end, and you can tell Deschamps is very close to snapping.

But that's a prediction, not a statement of fact or an assessment of their current standing. Obviously Messi is ahead of him now.

My point is that Mbappe has a lot of time to break all WC scoring records and win at least another WC, something only an injury that makes him miss the tournament could prevent.

Laporta did same when Barca lost to Real and could see the players just wanted him to get the fuck out and knew speach was more for cameras than them.

Irrelevant to the discussion of this WC and Messi being better player... deflection more than anything.

And its not even close to being 'surely' that it will happen either.

Breaking scoring records doesnt make him the best.

If he does that but never wins one as best player it wont matter. Others who have will be held above him.

No cunt thinks Klose is one of WC greats because scored more than Maradona.
