Yes. They are.

Well... actually not stupid, but ignorant and uneducated about most of the topics they yack about.
Just like all of the mainstream media on any topic. While also being driven by agendas that are given to them by their owners. I have more contempt for these people than even politicians. The later at least have not been ever held as "fourth power" that is supposed to watch over the others.

In case of deuchebags like Nevill, there's also immense butthurt towards Barca that shat all over their golden generation of last decade and just firm inferiority complex, when tiki-taka pricks like Pep, dominate their lauded fast and physical PL football.

If I was him I'd tell the club to get fucked lol. They can't do shit and they aren't going to be stupid enough to severely depreciate a valuable asset by benching him for the remainder of his contract lol.

That's why you are not a professional footballer.
We have said many times he can take the Umtiti or the Bale way, but if he has any self-respect he won't.

Wait until the end of this saga, and many here who claimed that "no one reduces wage" will get clowned big time

PS: Oh yeah, Xavi can bench him very well indeed, and we already see Kessie GAvi being ahead of him. Imagine getting someone like Bernardo for the interior position.

He likes the city a lot, he loves the prestige of being a Barca player, of course in addition to the the wealth he amasses as professional footballer.
It's part of the new millionaire athlete mentality, who doesn't like B tier teams or B tier cities.
He is even willing to take a pay cut to not lose that

Then, there is a fine line between being a professional footballer who wanna have a career and being a rich kid spoiled by money and good life.
Frenkie hasn't crossed the line yet, but if he keeps prioritizing life over his career, he will cross it soon

Good comment.

He was never supposed to be our interior to begin with. The whole point of his signing was, including talks in this forum, was having someone, who can phase out Busquets and play from the deep. For some reason, Busquets can shit his bed time and time again, but stil receive participation award, because we have no standards.

That was the thinking of the stupid administration under Barto, and failed big time as he can't play single pivot.
A sporting mistake coupled by a financial mistake.
Laporta and Xavi are trying to correct a mistake inherited

Think it's pretty clear to most he can't play pivot at the highest level in a 4-3-3, that's not how he was used in Ajax or how he would be used in Man utd.

What does single pivot entail? We haven't always played like that to begin with. 433 doesn't mean that there needs to be Xavis system or bust. Two attacking, tiki-taki interiors with unique skill set at the back started with Pep and Xaviesta, because they were so good and Busi fit well with them. Previous to that our midfield was always more balanced with likes of Edmilison, Xavi, Deco or even Van Bommel instead of Xavi there, when later wasn't available. Prior to that there was Motta and some other guys with no "Busi role" at all. I will have to start to agree with BBZ that some people here are too obsessed with some kind of set in stone style/DNA Barca must have. Remember that with the aforementioned mid Barca won CL. Winning against tight, physically strong teams. Imagine 33 year old Busquets being there instead lmao.

These EPL fans are such morons. While their clubs are funded by billionaire owners they whine and complain about Barcas finances.

Their jealousy and crying is the cherry on top.

No my stance on this has nothing to do about me being or not being a professional footballer lol wtf? It's called having balls and standing up for yourself and not being a pussy. I wouldn't leave to a worse team, I also wouldn't take a pay cut either especially considering the amount of money the club is spending.

Secondly the take that they would actually bench him because he didn't leave or isn't as good as other options is hilarious as
A) he is
B) they didn't even really do it for demeble who you were so adamant shouldnt have ever played for us ever again. Which was obviously a dumb take as he was obviously key to us making top 4.

Especially ironic, when the butthurt whining comes from Chelsky - the pioneer of sleazy_billionaire/big_oil/dictator_owned club era and the league that profited from this ridiculous influx of free moneyz the most. The eternal anglo never changes.

Nothing to do with Barcelona DNA, Barcelona have played 4-3-3 since cryuff more or less, with 1 sole DM and whatever else fits in the other two positions change slightly by coaches.

Coach after coach had come & seen Frankie, none thought him good enough in the pivot position to bench busquets.

He doesn't have the intangibles, like someone said, if you ask Frankie to pay the ball 10 yards, he runs with the ball 10 yards.

He is quality, just not for us how we want to play.

'having balls' 'not being pussy' are childish stance.
Have said many times that being a professional athlete for a club at the highest level doesn't compare to any other wage labour.
There is a whole dimension aside from 'legality' of contracts, and that can't be neglected.
There is crowd and fanbase, and you are up against them ALL THE TIME if you are such athlete

If he had said he is staying and not taking a wage cut, soon he wouldn't be able to walk to his car without getting booed.
It would become intolerable for him.
He is clever enough to not want that and also seems to STILL (we will see for how long) value his career.
Only finished fucks like Bale and Umtiti take the "i am not a pussy" way...

As for A and B, totally wrong comparison.
Dembele is vital to the team, that's how Xavi sees things. And as long he convinced Laporta, there were 0% chances of the player being benched.
Nothing with how he sees Frenkie. He clearly doesn't rate him as an interior OR a single pivot, and prefers others to play there.
Hence all that talk about 'I like Frenkie at CB'.
He is not vital to the project, nor indisputable. He is going to warm the bench a lot if he stays, for sporting reasons alone...

Were Edmilson, Bommel, Deco or Motta single pivots? They often played in the same starting lineup accompanied by Xavi or Iniesta, when he started to come around, but rarely both of them. So the theory of eternal single pivot doesn't work. Two "pivoty" players, who can also contribute towards attack has been in the past and i'm sure i could find other examples from Cruif era. Yes, DeJong can't have two AMs in front of him like Xavi seems to want (neither can current Busquets), but he can have two technical workhorses like DeJong and Kessie to cover each others asses and still be productive in bringing ball forward, while Pedri or his sub along with great forward line do the rest.
