This time Austria with a lot less luck on converting their chances.
But an even better performance in only the second game under Rangnick, and against this strong Danish team.

I generally like the Nations League but these games have come at such a horrible time. You have to think most of the people involved just want them to be over.

Tru, players just want to go on vacation after a long season.

Nations League means 2-3 weeks of less vacation. Can imagine it is tough to keep up the fighting spirit in games and trainings for weeks only to play friendlies. Would be different if it was qualifiers or a real tournament.

It doesn't. They'd be playing actual friendlies in remaining calendar dates pushed to summer in 2022

Calendar sucks this year because of Qatar and nothing else

True. I believe they should remove the A seed of top nations playing each other, it's meaningless as all of them qualify anyway atop of their groups in regular qualifiers.

The good side of Nations League is to boost weaker NTs like the rise of North Macedonia to have something to play for, but they are still 3-4 place in a group with Netherlands and Portugal for example.

Nations League doesn't change the equation in football and it's unfair totally by having lower tier NT qualifying to EUROs like North Macedonia did, beating Georgia in the final.

I don't know if it's less pressure of the Nations League, or confidence from playing more, but Pau is looking so improved internationally compared to a year back.
