Erling Braut Haaland

If Mbappe signs a short-term extension with PSG as reported now I think Real Madrid drop going after him and turn their attention to Haaland.

If it’s just a short term deal then I’m guessing Mbappe is hoping on PSG getting some kind of fee for him in the summer.

If there is no release clause, then he will again have to let his contract expire if he wants to leave. QSG doesn't want a fee, they want to keep him.

I know there’s no release clause but it gives PSG the opportunity to get some fee for him this summer as he will stay have an additional year left on his contract.

Didn’t he say this summer just gone that he wanted PSG to get money for him. I imagine he’s trying to make that happen again one more time before going for nothing.

Another doppel pack. This monster is scoring for fun, over grew Dortmund in one season, really can't see him staying there even one more year. He's just destined for the greatest clubs and greatness if he keeps this up. Yes he played at Salzburg and Dortmund, ultra offensive teams, in which attacking players really shine the brightest, but we saw that in many of Dortmund's past attackers. With Haaland though it's just different. You can see the difference in quality, just like it was with Lewa, when he was there. The only player right now I see on CR/Messi level scoring wise. If he stays injury free throughout his career, which is easier said than done, especially since he's had a few scares this season, with being out for weeks at a time.

This is why I want so badly for us to get him. He would bring us back to the very top much sooner than trying it without him. I think we still will get there, but with him leading the line we would be that much scarier that much quicker, and we need that 'scary' factor again in our team, for opponents to be shaking in their boots a little as they take on the field against us. I'd take him even if he only stays for like 5 years, before he (inevitably) wants to give it a go in the PL (or better yet, Raiola starts mixing shit and wanting to get a new pay day, if they don't limit these agents and their power in transfer negotiations soon, which they might do, even as early as next season).

Even though I don't quite get why you would even want to move from Barca (or Madrid) ever once you're there. Cause even now they're still the pinnacle of football for world class players, I feel. At least for Latinos, but with Barca and Madrid it's different and I think it does apply to other nationalities as well, especially the neutral ones from countries outside of top 5 leagues. Leaving would only be a downgrade. CR himself felt it, when he left or better yet, was kicked out of Madrid. I guess it all depends on the nationality of players, for English players they will always want to play and prove themselves in the PL more than anything, not mind even if they spend their whole career there, same for Germans and Bayern, Italians also comfortable to stay in the Seria A. Anyway, even in his limited time here he'd bring 2-3 new CL trophies to our name, I'm almost sure of it.

Real to cool their interest in Mbappe as Haaland fits better with Vini Jnr after his emergence and stops Barca having any chance of getting Haaland also...

Real to cool down on Mbappe, then goes after Haaland who quickly develops acute Dortmund syndrome, northern variant, and flops. Then Mbappe gets pissed at Madrid and joins Barca out of spite on a free in 2023. Ansu Fati remains fit, and we line-up Fati - Ferran Torres - Mbappe.

And then the phone alarm goes off, telling you that you need to wake up and show up for work, and you read the news on the phone that Dembele renewed with a big salary, Coutinho will come back from loan, and Ansu is again sidelined for a few months.

And then Mbappe goes to England instead and we're left with Morata :xavi:

What’s this Dortmund CEO doing? Making Haaland decide where he goes now? Who cares when he makes his decision?

They want him to tell them if he's planning to stay another season or leaving this summer so they can plan accordingly. Not where he goes, but if he's leaving or returning for a final year.
