This is not about morally right or wrong, this is about common sense and prudent business practices. It is OK if we want to keep negotiating with CVC, but at the same time you don't put them under the bus in the fashion we did (by coordinating with Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao to present the competing deal to drive CVC out) while negotiating with them, it is called bad faith and it puts us in an odd situation. Why don't we just try to get money from the likes of JPMorgan, Bank of America etc. instead, the ones who are behgind the Sustainable Project put forward by the three?

Badmouthing somebody while trying to get money from the same person, this is just stupid.

Loans would not be the same as the CVC deal would be classed as income. Which clears the club on La Liga FFP rules and allows them much more freedom to spend that cash on players.

A loan would do none of that other than have cash that cant spend due to the la liga rules.

Can see why it is tempting for the board but the reason they rejected it in past remains even if on better terms.

Don't worry, this is Bartomeu's legacy no matter how well or poorly Laporta does to fix it.

Nope, Barto already has socio support In polls

His recent interview and his detailing of the plan yo keep Messi which Laporta ignored was key.

He said he would have accepted the CVC deal but negotiated some changes which is what Laporta is trying to do after damage has been done ( bad publicity, no Messi)

Barto will destroy Laporta in elections

Barçapocalypse NOW!
Said he would not support Super League, said we would keep Messi, said he would not join CVC deal, among many others...

He always ends up doing the opposite of what he promised...

He didn't, he said the socis would vote
He tried, we had no money
He hasn't, they have been negotiating for over 6 months now..

Laporta asked Mino Raiola to wait and see if Bar?a can meet their demands for Erling Haaland. Mino agreed to do so before all other clubs.

I'm sure in his dreams he'll be the one who brings Haaland in to safe us, like he brought us Ronaldinho back in the day. There really is no one else who would have a similar effect besides Haaland and Mbappe right now. So it wouldn't suprise me they'll try everything they can to please Raiola.

And as much as i came to dislike these mega transfers with so many of them failing to meet the expectations, if there is a player worth it to go all out and build around it for pretty much every club then it is probably Haaland. The dude is just a monster.

That being said though, it'll most likely just stay Laportas wet dream and i'm kinda worried they then try to pull a random "big name" to compensate.

Well, in said story Beckham was his wet dream, who ended up at Real Madrid. Therefore, Ronaldinho was more of a "plan B". We'll be good if Haaland's plan B turns out like Ronaldinho. In the end, Ronaldinho was way more successful for Barca than Becks was for Madrid.

Laporta doesn't have Rosell now to save his ass so he'll probably buy someone like Gabigol when he'll fail to bring Haaland.

All out on Haaland and having it externally financed for a % of his future sale is the way to go. We need rocketfuel to get back to the top of Europe, Haaland finishing off our high chance creation is that.

We like to romantacise where we are as a club. But traditionally we have brought in star players and sold them in a 1/2 seasons. Romario, Ronaldo, Maradona... Zlatan.

Damage is done. His presidency should be looked like commanding a wrecked ship to calmer waters, even if it means signing a deal.

Im more and more into signing that deal because of two reasons:
1.
Real wage limit 740m
Our wage limit 100m

2. He would 100% be stabbed and butt fucked by perez on all fronts, signing players, better deals, while lying/keeping the dream of that esl income alive.

Real is in finishing phase of bernabeu, they are getting rid of all the highest earners and in the summer they would be capable of landing mbappe, haaland and 5 more world class signings considering the covid prices and free agents, even WITHOUT esl money. Jokes on us

If we wait until summer to pull our moves we could find oursevles easily 5-10 years at best behind coping with them on everything- from espai barca to competitive football.

Sign the fucking deal, there is no other way currently
