Champions League

Strange takes here, some saying the difference lies at the coach level, and others saying City aren't elite in any way.

It's a game between two of the five best teams in Europe and it's been pretty even so far, PSG leading because of a corner.

Mbappe having a disaster class so far.

Yeah without much space he is useless lol

And PSG is the real deal now. They were unlucky to not win the CL last season since Mbappe and Ney choked in front of goal. Their front 3 creates chances at will almost but their finishing is still very, very poor for how good it could be.

True only issue is their finishing, needs to fix it.

Pocchettino is not any better than PEp, certainly a worse coach. He hasn't won crap. City looks mediocre, like usual in CL.

Thank you. Reading this thread, you'll think it was Bayern vs Barca level dominance. Instead, it's a fairly balanced game. It seems the anti-Pep brigade is out in full force this afternoon.

City have bang average players in their frontline, midfield, and defense. It is a bang average team with Pep's flashy and flawed (against counter attacks) system laced over it...that ALWAYS flatters to deceive because this system is good at thrashing bums or teams with a third of City's budget.

I told Rassvet and all the City bandwagoners this many months ago.

Nah, PSG just have the right individual ability to put City off playing their usual game. We saw how good and controlling City can be versus Spurs at the weekend.

Maybe City are a bit off their game aswell right now. But judging by their performance versus Lyon last season, the top Ligue1 teams also have extremely good work ethic. City usually can outwork their opponents too.

That's also something I miss from Barca. We almost never see players give it all, or at least that's how it feels..

It's the boards fault for not phasing them out properly. It's hard to keep fighting after winning like 3-4 CL, WC, 2 Euros and all that like Pique Busquets Messi and co.

We should have moved on from everyone but Messi gradually since 2017.
