Why is Messi always singled out? What about big buys like Griezmann and Coutinho being completely useless?

You know why. Because he is the one the game is built on, the guy who is never subbed, always passed to even when others are better placed. Of course, he is singled out.

It was stupid to bench Lenglet. Miguenza is just not ready to play week in week out. Miguenza costed us 2 points today.

Coutinho was lively and not that bad today.
Griezman was bad today.
Messi was shit today as he has been since August

Never seen Messi singled out anywhere to be fair, if anything the narrative everywhere is: "Imagine how much lower they would sink without Messi." A couple usual suspects on Barcaforum that want to create controversial discussions and pseudo online football connoisseurism don't even make up 0.1 % of the fanbase.

Everyone with half a brain cell knows at 33 years of age a player like Messi would need to have a proper team built around him if he was still supposed to deliver at a good level. Pirlo at 34 years of age did not move an inch off the ball, which is even more deadly for a central midfielder, but he had Marchisio, Pogba and prime Vidal around him. That's building around a player and mitigating his weaknesses.

Pairing Messi up with a horrible defense, shit midfield and 3 other number #10s upfront, coached by the guy who got sacked by Everton - then harping on about Messi not running around in defense as much as prime Pedro so therefore he is the culprit for Barca's woes is a clear symptom of mental illness in a vain act of trying to appear knowledgeable.

Anyone would half a brain cell knows you aren't supposed to rebuild a team around a 34-year-old player who doesn't even want to play for the club anymore.

Messi would deliver until 37 easily in the right circumstances. Behind a proper #9, 2 proper wingers and infront of 2 solid central midfielders. Instead he plays alongside 3 other #10s and infront of Busquets and glorified Dutch Cleverly with children in defense.

The building should have already been done by now, at this point of course it's too late to start a project with Messi. He should have been let go because with this squad Barca ain't winning shit with or without Messi so at least money could have been saved.

Its not even about (re)building the squad around a 34-year old Messi. His needs are pretty much ours as well. Theres no conflict.

They got so accustomed with Messi bailing Barca out time and again year after year after year. That's all they saw from this Barca since ever and it's not working anymore and they call out names, culprits and surely Messi is the first to pop up in their minds.

Still a team with sensational holes in defense, struggling to find its own style of play.
All under sufficiency apart from Ter Stegen, Araujo, Messi and Pedri (And De Jong, in the second half)

Griezmann, Messi and Cou can hardly coexist.
Koeman seems to have less and less clear ideas; I don't understand why Puig never plays

Very not so. We need speed in our game, pressing, quick-transitions. Get close to what Europe's best sides are playing currently. Messi-led Barca is lacking behind in both.

What Messi wants, and what we need right now are totally different things.
