Lionel Messi - v7

Amigos have reached a point where they think they command the club and are untouchable. Now they got someone who doesn't take it, and they're pissed.

serghei telling it like he drank with them last night. you also sucked off koeman for the messi meeting special?

It's not either Bartomeu or Messi.

You can maintain that Barto has been a horrific President, while also arguing it isn't just "poor little Leo." There are deeper power dynamics here, especially after the appointment of Koeman. Some egos in that dressing room have clearly been bruised.

This is wrong on both sides.

Barto's fault because of his sheer incompetence and Messi's trying to walk away, because he can't live without amigos (however, this is influenced by the board allowing them so much power, so it's a cycle).

Like you are screaming now?

Messi if wanted out could have said it then. He didn?t and it is clear why.
.

I think Suarez has played a huge factor but your June logic makes no sense. Why would he say he wants to leave when we were still fighting for the CL?

Its not purely about the amigos imo. Messi was probably thinking of leaving next year anyways but decided to give it 1 last shot in another top team before returning home to Argentina - current Barca aren't a top team even with him. the Suarez contract and Koeman meeting probably forced him into making the decision early

if this was under a different board, it wouldn't be that much of a disaster but the talk of court battles and Barto incharge of a rebuild? makes me wanna avoid football for a year

Amigos theory is receiving more and more confirmation - TRUE

This board has been an enabling disaster with a terrible recruitment policy of galactico misfits - TRUE

The Koemannder is getting rid of amigos and wanting his own signings - Why the meltdown? We just expedited the rebuild process by a year. With Messi, we were always going to be building AROUND him. Now, there is FULL tactical and locker room freedom.

People always talked about Messi as if he is not one of the Amigos. He always was. You have fans of Messi here who blame the Amigos and yet still protect Messi, being nonsensical and making absolutely no logic whatsoever.

If you are against the Amigos, you have to be against Messi and support the club in this. If you care about having coherence in your arguments and principles. Otherwise you come off more as a Messi fan than anything else, in my opinion.

I love how there are so many users here who will call you names if you blame even 10 % of this on Messi and amigos. The power dynamics of this club have become worse than US politics in the last three seasons. All the blame can't be on Barto and his Madridista board, the amigos have a hand in it too.
